Cardi B Files for Divorce from Offset and Wants Daughter Kulture's Custody

It's over for hip hop stars Cardi B and Offset after three years of marriage. The "Bodak Yellow" performer has filed for divorce from the Migos member on September 14, according to reports.

Cardi B and Offset's relationship has been rocky from the start. However, the power couple had managed to pull through all the ups and downs, until now.

According to reports, the "WAP" star seems to have reached the point of no return and filed for divorce in Fulton County, Georgia, on Monday, September 14.

Cardi cited irreconcilable differences and described the relationship as "irretrievably broken" and with "no prospects for a reconciliation" in court papers obtained by Vulture.

On top of that, Cardi is seeking primary physical custody of the couple's 2-year-old daughter, Kulture Kiari, and is asking Offset for child support, although she didn't specify numbers. The rapper also wants her husband to pay her legal fees and is asking for all marital assets to be equally split.

It's not the first time Cardi and Offset break up, as fans might recall that the couple split in December 2018, just four months after Kulture was born, following rumors of infidelity on Offset's part.

Still, it wasn't long before the couple got back together early in 2019. Cardi told Vogue a year later that at the time, she received a lot of backlash from women for deciding to work things out with the father of her child, adding that:

"People that be in marriages for years, when they say till death do us part, they not talking about little arguments like if you leave the fridge open. That’s including everything."

Offset is a father of three more kids: daughter Kalea, and sons Kody and Jordan, from previous relationships.
