Tia Mowry is very active on social media, regularly sharing posts about her family life, activist work, and body positivity regularly with her followers.

Now the star has achieved a significant milestone after she announced that she had reached a massive 8 million followers on her Instagram.

Mowry celebrated the news by sharing a stunning photo of herself sitting next to a beautiful bouquet of 8 dozen roses, one for each million.

In the post, she looked incredibly happy to have reached 8 million and thanked all of her fans for the community that they have built. She added:

"I’m so grateful ?? I truly believe in creating an outlet where we all can go to #inspire and #uplift! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!?."

Some of Mowry's recent posts have included things that her family has been up to during quarantine and details about her fitness journey.

She shared a stunning photo of herself, revealing that she had lost 68 pounds since the birth of her second child in 2018, inspiring other women to do it in their own time and at their own pace.

Mowry also uses her platform to speak about her experiences during her career, including incidences where she and her twin sister, Tamera Mowry were discriminated against because of their skin color.

During an episode of "Unfiltered," the actress revealed that they had once been told they could not feature on the cover of a magazine as they were Black and it would not sell. She added:

"But here I am as an adult, and it still affects me how someone can demean you value because of the color of your skin. I will never forget that."

Mowry added that the experience had influenced her as a mother to her two children Cree and Cairo, who she shares with her husband, Cory Hardrict.

The star said that she would always call her daughter a "beautiful brown-skinned girl," repeating the same with her son so that they can be proud of who they are.

The Mowry sisters first came to prominence after they appeared in the 90s sitcom, "Sister, Sister" which ran from 1994 to 1999.

They revealed that they had picked the role they would play, choosing characters that were the opposite of their real-life personalities as they thought it would be more fun to change their dynamic.
