Kate Hudson gave a short kitchen tour during her interview with Rachael Ray and introduced her six-foot-tall son, Ryder Russell.

Kate Hudson recently appeared on “The Rachael Ray Show” to show a glimpse of her farmhouse style kitchen and breakfast area, which included a big breakfast table that she designed.

The “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” star was conversing with Rachel Ray about having many ovens, when her 16-year-old son, Ryder, appeared behind the camera, unintentionally “distracting” his mom.

RYDER’S CAMEO

Hudson then called her son to make a brief appearance on camera, even just to show his face to greet the host. After he agreed, Ray was taken aback by how tall Ryder was compared to his mom.

Ray then asked if the 16-year-old often helps out in the kitchen, to which he sarcastically joked that he was more helpful than anyone else in the house. Hudson added:

“It’s more like, ‘Who put… Ryder, Ryder, Ryder, what is this?’ And I open the dishwasher and the plate; He’s taken the whole dishwasher because he just put his plate in there -- with an entire sandwich still on it.”

A SWEET BROTHER

Although Ryder may not be the best in the kitchen, Hudson claimed her son was a “great older brother” for taking care of his little sister, Rani Rose, who the actress shares with her boyfriend, Danny Fujikawa.

The couple first met through Hudson’s friends, Sara and Erin Foster, and remained friends for 15 years.

The couple welcomed Rani in October 2018, joining Ryder and Hudson’s son with Matt Bellamy, Bingham Hawn. Rani often appears on her mom’s social media account, including an adorable photo of her reading the newspaper -- or at least it looked like it.

RYDER LEAVES A COMMENT

Hudson’s children seem close to the star and do not shy away from showing affection online. In one of her posts, the “Almost Famous” star shared a dancing video while whipping up a green smoothie.

Among the comments that stood out was from Ryder, who said, “Love you mom,” alongside a crying emoji. The Golden Globe-winning actress shares Ryder with her ex-husband, Chris Robinson, whom she had at 23 years old.

Given their close age gap, Hudson’s relationship with her eldest son remains less usual than most moms. Although she is firm and fair, the “Bride Wars” star remains fun and understanding.

QUARANTINED WITH FUJIKAWA

The past few months have brought Hudson closer to her children and partner, since they had to quarantine under the same roof. Spending time with her beau made the mom-of-three realize that he was the man for her.

The couple first met through Hudson’s friends, Sara and Erin Foster, and remained friends for 15 years before starting a romantic relationship. Like her past partners, Fujikawa is also a musician and former frontman of the band, Chief.

The actress had nothing but kind words and praises for Fujikawa in her past interviews, calling him a family man and loving partner and father figure to all her children.

Although there are no updates on when wedding bells will ring, the couple already has everything to start a family. They are both lucky to have found each other in this lifetime.
