See the Puffy Gold Dress Tracee Ellis Ross Wore on Her Personalized Red Carpet for the Emmys
Despite this year's Emmy Awards being done remotely due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, Tracee Ellis Ross still came up with a makeshift red carpet in her backyard, which left her fans in stitches.
The 2020 Emmy Awards was filmed remotely and celebrity guests were given the green light to dress down in sweats or PJ's as many of them tuned in for the ceremony from the comfort of their homes.
However, actress Tracee Ellis Ross, known for always making a statement in couture on the Emmy red carpet, could not stick to the lax dress code so she lit up the 2020 virtual Emmys with high fashion.

In a picture shared on her Instagram page, the "Black-ish" star transformed her backyard into her own personal red carpet where she showed off her stunning look. She wore a tiered gold gown by Alexandre Vauthier and it featured a plunging neckline and thigh-high slit.
Ross went for a classy look and had her hair neatly packed into a bun. She completed the look with vintage Tiffany & Co. jewels and a pair of pointy gold Jimmy Choo heels. She shared the pictures with the caption:
"How fun to get dressed up! Can't say I miss the frenetic energy of the red carpet or wearing high heels, but boy do I miss a pretty dress!! #blackish #emmys."
More importantly, the actress accessorized the outfit with a matching face mask in line with COVID-19 safety guidelines. She debuted her face mask in a hilarious video that captured her makeshift red carpet moment.
In the clip recorded in her backyard, Ross strutted about on her little red carpet while fully observing social distancing guidelines, as she gave a master class on how to own any red carpet.
The 47-year-old actress once claimed she finds it rude that people queried into that aspect of her life.
In the build-up to the Emmy Awards ceremony, Ross had been very active on social media, sharing throwback pictures of her most memorable red carpet looks, including her one-shoulder cutout white Ralph Lauren gown in 2016.
Ross has lived in the spotlight for many decades, being the daughter of legendary singer Diana Ross. Although she enjoys media attention, the iconic actress has managed to keep her personal life private.
However, in recent times, the actress has been romantically linked to "Black-ish" creator, Kenya Barris. The duo is rumored to have begun dating sometime in January, shortly after Barris ended his 20-year marriage in 2019.
Apart from Barris, Ross's other known relationship was with music executive Abou "Bu" Thiam. The circumstances surrounding their breakup is shrouded in mystery because she avoids talking about it.
Another thing Ross does not like talking about is when she will have children. The 47-year-old actress once claimed she finds it rude that people queried into that aspect of her life and explained she is at peace with her current situation.
Despite coming from a relatively large family with four siblings — Rhonda, Chudney, Ross, and Evan — the beautiful actress does not seem keen on starting her own family soon. Still, she makes an awesome aunt to her siblings' kids.
Ross has built up an impressive fan base over the years. For this year's Emmy Awards, she was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
