'Selling Sunset's' Chrishell Stause Freezes Her Eggs after Justin Hartley Divorce — Here's Why

The real estate agent turned reality TV star had her life completely changed after her public divorce drama last year. The actress took a step forward in her life to overcome the pain she has gone through in her personal life.

The 39-year-old actress and TV personality, Chrishell Stause, recently confessed in an exclusive interview for People that she had decided to freeze her eggs in order to start a family when the time comes and to not feel pressure about it.

Stause, who is the star of the Netflix series “Selling Sunset,” took this decision after her former husband, 43-yer-old actor, Justin Hartley, surprisingly filed for divorce and noticed her through a text message, which was aired in the third season of the show.

The actress candidly explained her determination to publicly talk about it, saying that she felt it was not something to hide. She was also honest about what led her to make this choice.

She said: “I definitely had a different idea for where I would be at this age and stage in my life. There’s a family aspect that I’m missing that I hope is still a possibility for me."

For Stause, taking this step has been important for her towards self-empowerment. After her divorce, she faced the death of both her parents over cancer. However, at this time she says she has been managing to feel a lot better to possibly start dating again.

DANCING QUEEN

Stause was in the middle of her hormone process when she was invited to join the “Dancing With The Stars” cast, so for her, this period has been very significant in life-changing experiences.

″Maybe I could blame that on my less than stellar tango!” she hilariously said after revealing that she underwent the procedure only a few days before the premiere of the show.

The TV personality is competing with her partner, professional dancer Gleb Savchenko. Though at first, they did not perform very well, during the last episode the couple nailed an 8 when both did the ballroom dance dressed like the Cinderella story’s prince and princess.

DIVORCE DRAMA

The most shocking moment during season three of the reality series “Selling Sunset,” came when Stause found out that her husband was filing for divorce, and she was told by him via text message.

The actress’ reaction and tears plus with all the drama that came along were the main plots of that season. Stause said she was completely shocked to know about the split, as she did not see that move coming from Hartley.

While Stause’s crisis was aired and publicly discussed, the former husband was more private about it. However, later it was apparently unveiled that he has been having a relationship with former “Young and the Restless” star, Sofia Pernas.

Stause and Hartley met on the set of “Days of our Lives” and began dating in 2013. After he proposed to her in 2016, the couple married in October 2017. The marriage did not last long since they divorced in November 2019.
