Former first lady, Hillary Clinton's actions mean the "world" to Chrissy Teigen as she comes to terms with the recent loss of her unborn child with husband John Legend.

Among the number of supportive messages Chrissy Teigen received in response to her new essay, that of Hillary Clinton stood out. The model penned an emotional post about her recent pregnancy loss, and the former first lady made her feel "honored."

Teigen had been on bed rest with her third child with husband John Legend when she started bleeding. Sadly, despite doctors' best efforts, the couple lost their unborn son they had named Jack.

WHY TEIGEN FELT 'HONORED'

The model penned her emotions after losing Jack in a heartbreaking essay, and Hillary Clinton reposted a link to the essay along with a supportive message as she wrote:

"Thank you, @chrissyteigen, for your bravery and grace in starting a hard conversation to help other families heal alongside yours."

HOW TEIGEN RESPONDED

While Teigen appreciates all the messages of support she's received so far, the former first lady's repost had a deeper effect on her. In response, Teigen thanked Clinton for the kind gesture.

"I’m so honored @hillaryclinton. You have dedicated your life to fighting for women’s and children’s health, so to have you share my piece about my experience means the absolute world to me. Wow. Wow," Teigen gushed.

In the essay Teigen wrote, she explained that a partial placental abruption caused her to lose her son. The condition occurs when the placenta separates from the uterine wall before the baby's birth. It causes bleeding and can interfere with the baby's nutrient and oxygen supply.

Despite multiple blood transfusions and doctors doing all they can, the bleeding wouldn't stop. Teigen announced the sad news shortly after it happened in a heartbreaking post last month to social media but retreated from the public since then.
