'The Jeffersons' Star Marla Gibbs Mourns the Death of Sean Connery with a Heartfelt Tribute

"The Jeffersons" actress Marla Gibbs recently paid tribute to Sean Connery with a throwback picture and a touching note describing him as a kind and sweet person.

Fans and colleagues of Sean Connery are still mourning his loss, and actress Marla Gibbs is the latest celebrity to pay tribute to the legendary actor.

Taking to Instagram, Gibbs shared a throwback photo of Connery posing as his character "James Bond." The actor was clad in a white tuxedo while holding a pistol in his hand.

Gibbs accompanied the image with a caption where she noted that Connery would always be her best James Bond actor. The actress continued:

"We met, and he was just what I thought he'd be...very kind and sweet. #restwell #jamesbond."

The post was met with reactions from fans and followers who joined Gibbs in paying tribute to Connery, with many noting how great of an actor he was.

Connery was an Oscar-winning actor who was most famous for being the first to act as the on-screen secret agent James Bond. He depicted the character in seven movies between 1962 to 1983.

"Star Trek" actor George Takei described Connery as a movie legend who paved the way for other actors who have acted as James Bond over the years.

Connery passed away at 90 on October 31 after battling with his health for a while. Following the news of his death, several stars across Hollywood have paid tribute to the iconic actor.

 Alec Baldwin recalled Connery being kind and warm to him while they were both working on the 1990 movie "The Hunt for Red October." He added that he learned a lot from the late actor.

Pierce Brosnan, who has also acted as James Bond in the past, noted that Connery was his greatest James Bond as a child. He added that the late actor indeed left an imprint in the film industry.

"Star Trek" actor George Takei described Connery as a movie legend who paved the way for other actors who have acted as James Bond over the years.

Hugh Jackman also described Connery as a legend on screen and off the screen. Jackman added that he grew up idolizing the late actor.

Though Connery is gone, there is no doubt that he left a lasting legacy in Hollywood and will forever be remembered as a 20th-century movie legend.
