Cute Throwback Video Shows Little Girl Recall Her Heart Falling in Love with Adoptive Parents
On Monday, November 9, 2020, the world celebrated World Adoption Day. In honor of the special day, we had a look at a throwback video of a little girl who touched many hearts with her adoption story.
In 2019, Gaby recalled how she felt when she was adopted by a Dallas, Texas woman and her husband. To pay tribute to World Adoption Day, “People” magazine reshared the adorable clip of the little girl talking to her adoptive mother.
The clip started off with Gaby recalling coming home to her adoptive parents when she was just four-years-old. The great thing about the little girl’s new parents was that they also adopted her little sister, Lily.

Lily was only 1 when she and her sister were adopted. Little Gaby shared how excited she and her younger sister had been at the prospect of meeting their new parents when they got adopted, adding.
“And we love you guys and we want to be here for you and daddy.”
Her adoptive mother also shared how much she was excited to meet both Gaby and Lily too. Revealing how she felt during the adoption, Gaby asked her new mother if she knew what happened to her heart before informing her:
“Well, when the first time I saw you, my heart fell in love with you.”
The little girl’s mother couldn’t help but get emotional as she also confirmed that she felt the same emotions as Gaby. The parent could also be seen caressing the little girl’s face as she spoke.
The adorable little girl’s video was initially shared on YouTube by Newsflare. At the time, people couldn’t help but melt with love as they watched the cute little girl who’d found herself a new family.
Child adoption isn’t something that only happens with ordinary people. A number of celebrities have found it in their hearts to give deserving children forever homes, including people like Hoda Kotb.
When Hoda Kotb had her very first child she was 52-years-old.
In 2007, the “Today” show co-host beat her breast cancer diagnosis but it also left her unable to have her own children. A couple of years later, in February 2017, she finally welcomed her first adopted child.
When Kotb had her very first child she was 52-years-old. The television news anchor’s first daughter was named Haley Joy Kotb and the star shared her with her longtime-boyfriend-turned-fiancé, Joel Schiffman.
The star, however, wasn’t done with adopting though, a few years later in April 2019, she announced that she’d adopted a second daughter. She revealed the little girl was named Hope Catherine Kotb.
