Arnold Schwarzenegger's Son Patrick Follows in Dad's Acting Footsteps — Everything We Know

Arnold Schwarzenegger's son Patrick steps in his father's shoes as he confessed that going to movie productions with his father was his favorite activity.

Arnold Schwarzenegger's 27-year-old son, Patrick Schwarzenegger, is a chip off the old block as he had chosen a career path in the acting industry.

The young star, who is starring in the new movie "Echo Boomers," stated that his parents, Arnold and Maria Shriver, are supportive and proud of his steady goals.

Although supportive, Shriver shared, in an interview on "Today Show," her shock when she saw Patrick in a sex scene in a psychological thriller called, "Daniel Isn't Real."

The entire family had gone out to see the movie, and when the scene came on, she experienced a moment of confusion as she and Patrick's sister, Katherine, contemplated whether or not to watch it. She said:

"[...] Luckily, I was not sitting next to him."

During an interview with Variety, the young star admitted that he auditioned for the thriller twice before he could get the character he wanted, which was a direct opposite of his true nature.

Patrick, who enjoyed watching and being with his father, Arnold, on set since childhood, further added that it was fun playing a role that was different from his character.

Arnold had his last-child, 22-year-old son Joseph Baena, from his relationship with his ex-lover.

The former model also added that it was a painful change for him when his father had to resume office as the former Governor of California and put his acting career to a stop.

The duo seemed to have a great father-son relationship as the 71-year-old icon and his son stepped out for an interview, dressed as cowboys. The pair rocked complete denim outfits with cowboy hats.

Arnold is not only a great father to Patrick but also to his four other children, three of which he had with his ex-wife, Maria Shriver: 22-year-old Christopher, 30-year-old Katherine, and 28-year-old Christiana.

Arnold had the last child, 22-year-old son Joseph Baena, from his relationship with his ex-lover, Mildred Baena, who was also his housekeeper. Although the former housekeeper's son had no connections with the family as Arnold kept his birth a secret for years, the duo seemed to be on the mend as a charming father-son relationship has been established.

The proud father confessed that his vision was to raise great kids and that he believes he has done a good job as he focused on hard work and passion in his parenthood.
