Tika Sumpter Celebrates Fiancé and Baby Daddy Nick James' 37th Birthday — Her Sweet Tribute

American actress and television host Tika Sumpter celebrated the 37th birthday of Nicholas James, her longtime fiancé and father to her child, with a touching tribute on her Instagram feed.

Since Nicholas James, her longtime fiancé and father to her child had his birthday yesterday, American actress and producer Tika Sumpter took to her Instagram to commemorate the special day.

Surely, she has all the love to give the handsome actor as she posted a close-up photo of him, followed by a long heartfelt message. In the shot, the now 37-year-old was clad in an impeccable black suit and bowtie.

His brown hair and beard were neatly shaved as he stared into the camera with an intense facial expression with a lovely white house serving as a backdrop. Beneath the post, Sumpter captioned:

"It's my babes bday today. You are simply the best. Thee freakin' best. Thank you for loving Ella and I exactly how we need to be loved. You are a salt of the earth human…"

James also too to his Instagram page to mark the special day with a cool picture of himself posing by two shiny black classic cars parked outside. He was dressed in a tight black shirt, army green trousers, and black sneakers.

The love he shares with Sumpter has been going on strong since the pair started their romance three years ago. They met on the set of Tyler Perry's drama "The Haves and the Have Nots," of which they are co-stars.

However, she responded with a calm message, telling the bullies to do better and wishing them luck in finding happiness.

Though the love birds kept their relationship out of the public eye, the news eventually made the rounds, especially after James proposed to the actress on Christmas day in 2017.

They had also welcomed their adorable daughter Ella Loren a few months before. Unsurprisingly, Sumpter kept her pregnancy under wraps and did not reveal the child's father's identity.

She only allowed herself to have one interview, and it was there the 40-year-old opened up about the reason for the secrecy. She revealed that social media was the major reason behind her silence.

The star buttressed that social media was a harsh place, and since she was a mama bear, she was always protective of her family. That is why she waited to tell people, including some of her friends.

Sumpter was right about the harshness because as soon as her fans got wind that she was dating James, a white man, several did not fail to voice their displeasure. Some of them even opined that her rich blackness had gone to waste.
