Alexis Sharkey, 26-Year-Old Instagram Influencer Found Dead — Details Revealed

Alexis Sharkey, a social media influencer who was reported missing on November 28, was found dead on the side of a road in Houston, Texas.

According to KHOU 11, the last time that 26-year-old Alexis Sharkey was heard of was on the evening of November 27. The following day, Tom Sharkey, her 49-year-old husband, told her mother, Stacey, that she was missing.

Apart from that, her loved ones became alarmed after she spent over 12 hours without posting anything on social media.

ALEXIS SHARKEY’S DEATH

It all drove Stacey to post a plea for information on Facebook. It is important to point out that nobody answered the door at the apartment that Alexis shared with Tom.

On November 28, a city worker discovered Alexis’ nude body at the 1000 Red Haw Lane near North Eldridge Parkway in West Houston, three miles away from her apartment.

Although she was found with no clothes on, there were no signs of injuries. The cause of death was not immediately revealed as Houston police are waiting for an autopsy to understand better what really happened.

On November 29, a day after Alexis was found, Tom took to Facebook to share five photos of her. In the caption, he wrote that she was his “world” and “everything,” adding that he felt “lost.”

Her family has alleged foul play.

Stacey also posted about Alexis’ death on social media. After announcing the sad news with her social media followers, Stacey wrote:

“We cannot begin to thank you all for your love and the kind words you’ve extended to our family! Please give us this time to grieve this incredible loss to our family.”

FOUL PLAY

Tanya Ricardo, one of Alexis’ best friends, said that she and Alexis spent Thanksgiving together and had plans to watch movies with some other friends on November 28.

According to Tanya, Tom and Alexis’ relationship was going through difficult times as the late influencer supposedly told her that “divorce was being filed.”

Given the circumstances under which Alexis was found, her family has alleged foul play. According to Stacey, her daughter would never do that to herself, and nothing suggests that it was an accident.

Tanya and her friends are determined to learn what happened and are “going to do everything it takes.” As per Tom, he has been assisting investigators in trying to find out what happened. Braxton Baker, another social media influencer, also recently passed away aged 21.
