While the former Bachelorette contestant has thanked fans for their ongoing support, his wife Trista reportedly revealed on Saturday that Ryan has been struggling for months with his illness, according to ET Online.

Ryan confirmed it and said that he had been feeling that way for several months and that he and his wife have looked into several possibilities of what it might be. They looked at Lyme disease, immune disorders, viruses from bacteria, and cancers but so far, nothing.

As he continues to find out what could be wrong with him, Ryan described his symptoms and disclosed that he could barely get out of bed on some days, according to People.

The firefighter shared that he began feeling sick after starting an 18-week training course with the Denver Fire Department in February. Ryan detailed his symptoms:

“Towards the end of that process I felt more and more worn out and began feeling occasional ‘flu-like’ symptoms. I was tested for Covid-19 multiple times but never tested positive.”

According to ET Online, the couple continues to find answers. Trista shared on social media that her husband does not have cancer even though he has been battling with his condition for months. The mom of two added that doctors are still unsure of what could be causing his symptoms.

Trista expressed that Ryan is her rock, her best friend, a hero, and her love. The 48-year-old was relieved that her beloved husband does not have cancer but expressed frustration that they do not have a proper diagnosis.

As the couple keeps looking for answers, their love and support for one another are admirable, including their love story. According to People, Ryan and Trista first met while filming the first season of "The Bachelorette" back in 2002.

On her season, Trista fell for her handsome husband, who proposed during the show's season finale. The pair tied the knot on December 6 in 2003, in the franchise's ever televised wedding.

Four years after their wedding, the couple welcomed their first-born baby boy named Max on July 25, 2007. Max's sibling joined the family in the year 2009 in April, and her name is Blakesley.
