Fans React to Lit up Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Following Criticism over Its Sickly Look
The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree was lit up on Wednesday, and fans could not stop talking about how gorgeous it is. This comes only a few weeks after several internet users criticized it for looking unattractive.
2020 might have introduced people to many changes, but one thing that appears to remain constant is how beautiful the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree looks.
The 75-foot Norway spruce was recently lit up in an event broadcast on television, and even though it was closed to the public, fans could not help but gush over how amazing the tree looked.

One Twitter user said the tree looked stunning, while another described it as beautiful. A third user shared similar sentiments, saying it looked gorgeous with the colors.
However, some other fans were shocked about the tree's transformation, with one noting that even though the tree looked skinny last week, it looked beautiful with all the lights. Another Twitter user wrote:
"Did they spray the tree bc it was not that green when it came in?"
A thrilled user commented that even though the tree started up looking sickly, it now looks good with the colorful lights. The Christmas tree was decorated with about 50,000 multi-colored LED lights.
Officials in charge of the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree were quick to jump to the tree's defense.
It also boasts a 900 pound Swarovski star covered in three million crystals sitting on the tree. Fan's excitement over the tree comes only a few weeks after online users criticized it for its sickly and unattractive look.
While some described it as the perfect representation of 2020, another compared it to Charlie Brown's sickly tree from the peanuts cartoons.
Others quipped that the tree looked as though it was cutting its own hair because it did not get a good barber for a proper trim during the lockdown.
However, officials in charge of the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree were quick to jump to the tree's defense while slamming all negative comments. In a tweet, they revealed that the tree would soon be beautified and spruced up, adding that it would be up by December 2.
True to their words, the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree does look sparkly and beautiful now. It is undeniably a significant transformation from what it looked like before!
