Carson announced her pregnancy in July with her husband, McAllister with whom she's been married for 4 years. She revealed she would give birth in January 2021 and did a gender reveal in August, announcing that it's a boy.

News of the pregnancy was followed by Carson's decision to skip the 29th season of "DWTS", citing it as a precautionary measure in light of the Coronavirus Pandemic.

She is motivated to get back into shape for the next season of the show.

It will be the first time Carson will miss a season of the dance competition, since joining at the age of 18. The show is all she's known since graduating high school, stating she doesn't know what she'll do without her dancing.

The flip side is that she'll get to enjoy the show from the comfort of her couch - something she's never been able to do before. Carson didn't come to the decision lightly, saying after much consideration, they come to their choice:

" I just don't think it's ultimately safe for me to participate. It's just so hard with COVID-19, we don't really know what's happening there. And I'd be pretty big. I'd be about 24 weeks, which is, like, I'd have a belly.

Carson's pregnancy announcement followed two months after fellow Pro dancer, Lindsay Arnold revealed she was expecting her first child, making it a "DWTS" double pregnancy.

The Pro dancer is already thinking about 'snapping back' after giving birth in January. She is motivated to get back into shape for the next season of the show.

With production having begun in September on season 29, Carson shared her thoughts on it might look when it airs next year. She thinks they'll shoot without an audience, and harder group numbers because of quarantine restrictions.

Carson is also excited to see how the new host, Tyra Banks will fair in her new role. She said also the show will feel different without the former host, Tom, Tyra is bound to be fantastic.
