In 2017, Johnny Depp made an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," where he opened up about his beginning in Hollywood and his day job working as a salesman for a telemarketing firm.

Originally, the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor was a part of a band. However, according to him, the band is not paying his bills at the time, and that they actually pay the clubs just to play there.

HE FIRED HIMSELF

Depp then shared that he was a telemarketer, selling ink pens. The actor admitted that he was not good at it. Eventually, Depp fired himself from that job.

Meanwhile, the actor was recently ousted from the hit fantasy film "Fantastic Beasts." Depp had shot just one scene since filming started in September.

LIBEL LAWSUIT

However, Depp will still get full payment due to the "pay-or-play" condition in his contract, which implies that he should be paid whether or not he appears on the screen.

The actor recently lost his libel lawsuit against The Sun over the newspaper publisher's claims that he beat his ex-wife Amber Heard. He sued them for damaging his reputation.

In her column, Heard described her experience with domestic violence.

LAWSUIT AGAINST HIS EX-WIFE

After losing the case, Warner Bros. asked him to resign from the "Fantastic Beasts" franchise. Deep then revealed on social media that he agreed to step down from his role as Grindelwald.

His lawyers have just declared that the actor will file an appeal in London. He has filed a separate defamation lawsuit against Heard in Virginia over a 2018 column she wrote for The Washington Post.

In her column, Heard described her experience with domestic violence. Depp was not named in her column, but the legal team of the actor has said it was strongly inferred to be about him.

In May 2016, Heard, who made her film debut in a minor supporting role, applied for a temporary restraining order against Depp after their divorce in 2017. She cited domestic abuse at the time.

Heard said that the actor assaulted her on many occasions. Sometimes, she had been in fear for her life. The actress left with a broken nose, black eyes, and split lip, she said.

Depp had previously been in relationships with Winona Ryder, Kate Moss, and Vanessa Paradis. The actor then met Heard on the set of 2009's "The Rum Diary." They later started a relationship.
