Legend had hosted the event, which included several guests like Common, Elton John, Alessia Cara, and Gwen Stefani. However, there is little doubt that the singer's duet with Underwood was the highlight of the event.

Reports explained that Legend and Underwood had been in different cities when they recorded the duet. Still, the magic of their voices – with some help from green screens – transcended any distance.

The setting was also complete with some fake snow effects, gold Christmas trees, and additional snowflakes. Talk about the perfect Christmas setting.

Legend also had a performance of "Glory" with rapper Common. The duo, who won an Academy Award for the song in 2015, used it as a tribute to Black Lives Matter protests across the country.

Legend has continued his long-running YouTube series, "Legendary Christmas Tales," this holiday period.

The Global Citizen Prize 2020 honored several notable names across the world. With a year as intense as 2020, some people have stood out for their service to humanity.
