Christmas season is here, and just about everyone is getting into the holiday spirit. Those having issues with feeling the Christmas vibe might want to listen to a recent performance from Carrie Underwood and John Legend.
Carrie Underwood and John Legend are two of this generation's most prolific performers. Last week, they delivered a duet that is sure to bring a tear to many eyes.
The pair collaborated for an emotion-packed rendition of "Hallelujah" at the Global Citizen Prize 2020. The performance was silky smooth, with Underwood and Legend merging their voices perfectly into the medley.

Legend had hosted the event, which included several guests like Common, Elton John, Alessia Cara, and Gwen Stefani. However, there is little doubt that the singer's duet with Underwood was the highlight of the event.
Reports explained that Legend and Underwood had been in different cities when they recorded the duet. Still, the magic of their voices – with some help from green screens – transcended any distance.
Dressed in an embroidered tuxedo and keying the piano, Legend was the picture of a perfect gentleman. Underwood looked stunning as well, as she donned a black dress.
The setting was also complete with some fake snow effects, gold Christmas trees, and additional snowflakes. Talk about the perfect Christmas setting.
Legend also had a performance of "Glory" with rapper Common. The duo, who won an Academy Award for the song in 2015, used it as a tribute to Black Lives Matter protests across the country.
Legend has continued his long-running YouTube series, "Legendary Christmas Tales," this holiday period.
The Global Citizen Prize 2020 honored several notable names across the world. With a year as intense as 2020, some people have stood out for their service to humanity.
The ceremony honored legendary singer Elton John for his HIV/AIDS activism and work to combat the novel coronavirus pandemic through his Elton John AIDS Foundation.
While Legend and Underwood gave many a reason to be hopeful for Christmas, they have also been preparing for the holiday season with their families.
Legend has continued his long-running YouTube series, "Legendary Christmas Tales," this holiday period. In a recent episode, he revealed two things that his wife, Chrissy Teigen, always gets him for Christmas.
As the singer explained, Teigen gets him a bag, which he uses to transport his most essential items. She also sends him robes – something which the entire family appears to love.
As for Underwood, she appears to be spending some quality time with her son, Isaiah. The pair recently recorded a version of "Little Drummer Boy" together, and Underwood explained how excited Isaiah had been about it.
The singer explained on "The Kelly Clarkson Show" that Isaiah had gone to school and told everyone about the song debut. As far as bonding goes, that is pretty awesome.
