Brandy's Only Daughter Sy'Rai Shows Uncanny Resemblance to Mom Flaunting Braids in a Photo

Brandy Norwood’s daughter, Sy’Rai, inherited her mother’s talented voice, as she followed the singer’s footsteps in the music industry with a single, “At Your Best.”

Not only did she get Brandy’s powerful vocals, but also her radiating beauty, which was seen several times in their photos together. Recently, the teen posted a solo photo, showing her strong resemblance to her mom.

Dressed in a knitted black long sleeve top with a low neckline, Sy’Rai posed with one hand on her face while looking straight at the camera. “Got cute to go nowhere,” she wrote in the caption.

The 18-year-old flaunted several long braids and smokey eye makeup, which she paired with gold accessories. Many of Sy’rai’s fans and followers seemed to love her look as they flooded the comments section with heart-eye emojis.

Brandy welcomed her daughter in 2002, with her ex-boyfriend and producer, Robert Smith. Sadly, their relationship only lasted a year after Sy’rai came as the two decided to part ways.

Although Sy’rai is not actively dating, Brandy wants her daughter to grow and mature a little bit more.

The “I Wanna Be Down” artist spiraled down shortly after her heartbreak, coupled with the string of broken relationships she had in the past. Her thoughts reached a point where things were too much to handle, and ending her life became an option.

Fortunately, Brandy had Sy’rai to hold on to and saw her as an inspiration and motivation to live and be a better mother. According to the singer, her daughter saved her from her dark times.

“If Sy’rai wasn’t here, I wouldn’t be either,” she admitted. “The place that I was in, it just felt like I wasn’t going to make it through.” Apart from her daughter, Brandy stayed on track by going to therapy, strengthening her faith, and meditating.

Certainly, the “Borderline” artist is in a much better place with Sy’rai by her side and hopes that the teen will live a much better life and meet the right person for her when the time comes.

As a mother, Brandy is protective of her child and does not want Sy’rai to experience heartbreak. In an interview, the singer revealed that she had not seen anyone fit for her daughter yet.

Although Sy’rai is not actively dating, Brandy wants her daughter to grow and mature a little bit more, experiencing life as an independent young woman before having a partner.
