Here's How Selena Gomez Reacted to Kelly Clarkson's Performance of Her Song 'Rare'
Selena Gomez approved Kelly Clarkson's cover of her song "Rare" as she retweeted Kelly's cover from her show.
Selena Gomez showed her support for Kelly Clarkson and her cover of her song "Rare" for her show's Kellyoke segment.
Clarkson looked beautiful in a dark purple dress as she sang the cover with her band, the Y'all's, on a segment on her show, "The Kelly Clarkson Show."

The support goes both ways, as when Gomez was on her show in March 2020, Clarkson shared a lovely sentiment with Gomez after the latter questioned her own singing abilities.
Gomez had said that she knew people may not think she was the greatest singer but that she worked hard to produce, create, and write her songs. Clarkson responded and said:
"The best singers in the world move you. And that comes from all different sounds and styles, and from a singer to a singer, it’s beautiful what you do, and I love your record.
Clarkson's cover of "Rare" was amazing. However, that is not the only cover of Gomez's songs she has sung. She has covered "Lose You To Love Me" and "Come And Get It" previously.
2020 had been a successful year for Gomez as she has seen a few of her songs hit the Billboard Hot 100 list starting with, "Lose You To Love Me" and "Ice Cream" with Blackpink.
Clarkson has faced a major life change this year as she and her husband Brandon Blackstock filed for divorce.
Many fans replied to Gomez's retweet of Clarkson's performance, admiring Clarkson's voice and being excited that she was supporting Clarkson.
Gomez posted that she loved the performance and Clarkson herself when she retweeted the original performance video that "The Kelly Clarkson Show" had posted. Her tweet read,
"Love this and you @kellyclarkson!"
It is exciting to see singers appreciating each other's music and being supportive when others cover their songs. Anyone would be proud if Clarkson sang a song of theirs.
Of course, the year has been difficult for everyone, but Clarkson has faced a major life change this year as she and her husband Brandon Blackstock filed for divorce.
Clarkson shared her mother's wisdom, which became a reason for the divorce. She said you are who you surround yourself with, and if somebody is bad for you at a certain time, it might mean that you are on different paths.
There has been a lot of drama surrounding the divorce, but most recently, the singer was awarded primary custody of their two kids, River Rose and Remington.
