Kelly Clarkson's talk show could eventually replace "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" due to rating changes this past year.
"The Kelly Clarkson Show" saw a bump up in ratings while "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" saw a decline in viewings, and so Kelly Clarkson's talk show could eventually replace DeGeneres's show.
According to Nielson's ratings for Live plus Same Day, "The Kelly Clarkson Show" gained 10% to earn 1.1%, making it Top 3 on the list of syndicated talk shows.

Clarkson's show shares the top 3 spot with "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." Unfortunately, DeGeneres's show got its 1.1% ratings as it declined by 8% in viewership after the season ended.
"The Kelly Clarkson Show" has been renewed for two more seasons. The NBCUniversal Syndication Studios executive Vice President, Tracie Wilson, described Clarkson as a ray of sunshine:
"One ray of sunshine in this wildly unpredictable year is that we get to continue to deliver to stations and fans a show that brings people together."
Whereas DeGeneres's show's contract has one year left, and the millionaire host will go into talks about the show in the next month, as Page Six reported.
Reportedly, DeGeneres wants out of her show. However, the executives at Telepictures wish to keep her 3 PM timeslot and replace her with a different host.
The decline in the fanbase of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" could be linked to the accusations of staff abuse.
A source shared that Clarkson's show will be the next in line to have DeGeneres' prime 3 PM spot, but producers will fight to keep that spot.
Clarkson's show has seen much success for only being on TV for two seasons. She had won 3 daytime Emmy's including Best Entertainment Talk Show Host. Wilson shared her opinion on why it has done so well:

"The Kelly Clarkson Show" debuted in the fall of 2019 and was the most-watched new daytime talk show. The 1st season of the show reached 1.6 million viewers.

No official statement has been given as to whether Clarkson's show will take the timeslot. Only time can tell if DeGeneres' show will see a further decline in viewership.
