A supermarket in Naples, Florida, has attracted varying reactions from internet users after NBC News correspondent Sam Brock made a 15-second video showing the activities going on.

The clip showed that the government of Florida has been putting in considerable scale efforts in seeing the reduction in the spread of the novel coronavirus, but it seems some establishments have not quite gotten the memo.

The video opened with the camera's focus on the line of salespersons attending to customers. The clip moved through, showing customer-cashier relations across each counter with no facemask in sight. The caption read:

"...Many employees and customers, even older ones with no masks on inside. Store sign outside the cities' medical exemptions'..."

Fans dropped their two cents below the tweet, noting some other franchises where the same development applied. Many were concerned about the attitude towards precautions and the adverse effect as time goes on.

The store was reported to have ignored the COVID-19 safety rules, even going ahead to ask customers who have health issues that could be affected by masks not to wear them.

However, Oakes' store sign stated that people not wearing masks would be welcomed to make transactions in their franchise.

The store, which is located in County Collier, has its expose clip making rounds with over 20,000 retweets, more than 11,000 comments of those showing displeasure, and a few others defending the action.

The store's owner, Alfie Oakes, joined Today in an interview where he explained that he did not think there was a cause for alarm over the use of masks. He also said that he felt like the novel coronavirus figure was inflated.

Referring to the precaution rules as a "total hogwash," Oakes showed that he did not give much thought to the pandemic or the effect. According to statistics, the Florida COVID-19 death toll is over 27,000.

The Center for Disease Control has stated that the global commitment to wearing face masks will go a long way in combating the virus. However, Oakes' store sign stated that people not wearing masks would be welcomed to make transactions in their franchise.
