Alicia Keys and Her Son Genesis Snatch Fans' Hearts as They Go on Their First Date Together
"If I Ain't Got You" hitmaker and Grammy-winning artist Alicia Keys and her adorable six-year-old son Genesis recently showed his first steps to becoming a gentleman.
R&B singer Alicia Keys is a proud mother to Genesis and 10-year-old Egypt. Aside from her sons showing interest in music, one has started to show respect for women.
Keys, a classically-trained pianist, took to Instagram to share pictures of herself with her little boy Genesis looking dapper during their first-ever date.

THEIR FIRST DATE
In the photo, Keys wore a turtleneck shirt topped with a jacket and leaf-printed pants. Genesis wore his cool sneakers, jeans, and a green polo shirt.
Keys shared that before she dated her charming son she first went out on a date with her husband, rapper Swizz Beatz, who earlier gave her a piece of Lego-themed jewelry as a random gift.
Genesis seemed jealous that his father took Keys out and asked if he could come with them. Instead of rejecting her son's request, the "My Boo" singer told him they could go on their own date.
THE GENTLEMAN MOVES
As a teaching moment during their date, the 40-year-old singer requested Genesis to open the door for her and pull her chair out since those were the qualities of a gentleman.
Genesis seemed to agree with what his mother told her. In the next photos, he gave Keys a tight hug. Many fans were in awe of Keys' son. The Grammy-winning singer wrote:
"I love raising boys! They light me up!"
Apart from her son's heart-melting gestures, Keys noted Genesis' exceptional talent in photography. The boy took a photo of the singer for a national magazine cover.
She realized their second child's potential and decided to continue with her pregnancy.
HER TOUGH PREGNANCY
After they welcomed Egypt in 2010, Keys and Swizz Beatz welcomed Genesis in 2014. The "No One" singer admitted that she it was a tough decision to keep her second pregnancy.
Keys was in the middle of finalizing her sixth album, "Here," when she found out she was four months pregnant. She was not ready to have another baby at the time.
However, that thought changed after Keys listened to "More Than We Know," a song she and her husband had written together. She realized their second child's potential and decided to continue with her pregnancy.
Keys was right all along as Genesis has been showing creative interests as her. Since having two children, the singer seems fulfilled and has been a hands-on mother to both of them.
