A third added, "Black babies are fighters, hang in there, it will get better." Someone else gushed, "Omgggg her little feet🥺congratulations!!!💕."
While it wasn't the birth experience she had planned, Cori was grateful for a safe outcome. She took to Instagram Stories to share that she had undergone a C-section, assuring her followers that the procedure was successful. "1st c-section was a success:) s/o to the man up above," she wrote alongside a photo of herself lying on the operating table.

In a follow-up post from her hospital bed, she revealed just how serious things had been. She had initially gone to the doctor on Thursday, Feb. 27, thinking she was dealing with a bad case of gas.
But tests revealed something far more alarming—she was developing HELLP syndrome, a rare and dangerous pregnancy complication that affects the blood and liver.

Doctors told her she had come in just in time. “They told me thank you for coming and if I would've waited a few more days, it would've been really bad,” she shared. The reality of the situation left her with an important message.
"Ladies, please listen to your bodies and don't believe everything you see on TikTok (talking to myself lowkey)," she added, urging others to trust their instincts when it comes to their health.
Cori’s health struggles began long before her recent pregnancy complications. As a child, she faced a mysterious and frightening illness that left her family desperate for answers. At just six years old, she started losing drastic amounts of weight, and her hair began falling out. Despite countless doctor visits, no one could pinpoint what was wrong.
Her father, Snoop Dogg, later recalled the helplessness he felt during that time. "I felt helpless. No power, no friends," he told People, holding back tears. Her mother, Shanté Broadus, shared that doctors ran endless tests, drawing blood and prescribing medications, but nothing seemed to help.
"No one could tell me what was wrong," she said, adding that one test revealed Cori had what doctors described as "old-person cells." Despite treatment, her condition only worsened.

Then came the heartbreaking diagnosis—lupus. It was a turning point for the family. The journey to understand the autoimmune disease was challenging, but it ultimately strengthened their bond. They faced it together, finding new ways to support Cori and each other through the difficult road ahead.

In January 2024, Cori faced yet another terrifying health scare. While planning her dream wedding, she suffered a stroke—an experience she later recounted in “Snoop Dogg’s Fatherhood: Cori & Wayne’s Story.”
In the show’s first preview, she described the shock and fear of that moment. “My health was declining,” she recalled. When the doctor told her she had suffered a stroke, she was left in pain, confused, and afraid. "Why is this happening to me?" she questioned.
Despite the challenges, Cori soon found herself preparing for a new chapter—motherhood. She and her fiancé, Wayne Deuce, weren’t expecting to start a family just yet, but they embraced the surprise.
She discovered she was pregnant on October 28 and described the news as both unplanned and an incredible blessing. As someone with a high-risk pregnancy, doctors were initially concerned for both her and the baby.
But Cori remained optimistic, believing she was in good hands. “God has his hands on me, and me and the baby are doing perfectly fine,” she shared. She was thrilled to reveal she was expecting a baby girl.
Her parents, Snoop and Shanté, were overjoyed at the news. "My mom and dad were so excited, their baby girl is having a baby," she said, though she admitted her father had secretly hoped for a grandson.
As she and Wayne prepared for their new journey as first-time parents, Cori reflected on the values she wanted to pass down to their daughter.
She expressed her excitement about showering her child with love and confidence, something she had struggled with in her own youth. She shared that growing up, she had not always felt confident or like she fit in, so it was important to her to instill positive affirmations in her daughter from a young age.
Wayne was equally thrilled about becoming a father. Cori mentioned that he was eager to see their daughter grow and looked forward to building things for her. He believed she would be beautiful and was excited to give her all the love in the world.
