Katie Cassidy Kisses 'Favorite Little Guy' on the Head but It's Not Her Son
“Arrow” star Katie Cassidy, the only daughter of the iconic former teen idol David Cassidy of “The Partridge Family,” got her fans confused when she posted a photo with a little boy on social media.
34-year-old actress Katie Cassidy is one of the two children of late actor David Cassidy, best known for his role as Keith Partridge in the 1970s sitcom “The Partridge Family.”
In a recent social media post, Katie appeared in a photograph where she could be seen sitting next to a little blond-haired boy. The young lad was focused on a piece of paper in her hand as she kissed him on the head.

“Kisses for my favorite lil guy!” Katie simply captioned the post, making fans wonder if the boy was the actress’s son and they just had never heard of him, as we can conclude from some of the comments from users.
A couple of times in the comments section, people said or asked if the boy in the image was Katie’s child, with other users replying that they believed the boy was actually her nephew.
In fact, Katie is yet to become a mother, but in previous posts, we have seen her alongside a blonde boy of about the same age as the one in the picture in question, and she referred to him as her “little nephew.”
Nevertheless, we don’t know the little boy’s name or age, or in what way exactly he is related to the “Arrow” star. All we know is that the two looked adorable together and that she totally looks the part of a devoted mother.
A YEAR SINCE HER DIVORCE
Last January, Katie marked one year since she filed for divorce from her husband of about two years, fellow actor Matthew Rodgers. The actress cited “irreconcilable differences,” as E! Online reported at the time.
Katie and Rodgers wed publicly in December 2018, but they are said to have eloped a year prior, keeping their relationship a secret for a while, then revealing a public engagement in June 2017. The two left the marriage in 2020 with no children.
One of Katie’s most important roles has been that of Laurel Lance/Black Canary in the superhero-themed series “Arrow,” which she portrayed from 2012 until the series ended in 2020 after airing for eight seasons.
But there is a chance that Katie could continue to play the character in an upcoming spinoff series that has been already been greenlit by The CW network, also with producer Greg Berlanti.
The yet-to-be-released series would revolve around the crime-fighting team known as The Canaries, which would be played by Katie and her “Arrow” co-stars Katherine McNamara and Juliana Harkavy.
"The Canaries are a vigilante group operating in a future version of Star City in which the city was overrun by an uprising by the denizens of the city section known as The Glades," Variety advanced about the still-untitled series.
