Discover Everything about COVID-19 Vaccine Passports in the US — from Travel to Other Perks
The COVID-19 Vaccine Passports are the latest must-have for US citizens who have been inoculated. Here are important details to know about these new prized documents and why they have become important.
For anyone that has gotten the COVID-19 vaccine, the best way to prove it is with a simple white card. Though pretty basic, this card is fast becoming as important and popular as any prized possession.
The vaccine card, usually issued after the first stage of inoculation, shows important details like the vaccine manufacturer, the dose numbers, and the place and time the vaccination was done.

Not only is the COVID-19 vaccine white card proof of vaccination, but it has also become a required travel document in the United States. For instance, only people with proof of vaccination will be allowed into large venues or events when public places in New York reopen on April 2.
To make this easier, New York has introduced a digital tool that would help people prove that they have either been vaccinated or tested negative to COVID-19. To sign up, residents of the state will be required to input their name, date of birth, and ZIP code.
This new method is a part of ongoing efforts to help citizens provide proof of vaccination without holding on to a piece of paper or worry about possible forgeries and breaches of privacy.
Several public places across the country are offering incentives to inoculated citizens.
One major problem that might, however, arise when the vaccine cards go fully digital is linking the several systems together so that users can access them at any location without having to download different apps all the time.
According to Brian Behlendorf, an executive director of the Linux Foundation of Public Health, computer advocates across the country are earnestly working to provide a solution to the linking problem.
However, until this is widely adopted across the country, the vaccine card remains very important. While this might not be as fancy or trendy as the digital tool, several public places across the country are offering incentives to inoculated citizens.
An executive at the food company explained that as vaccinations became more regular in the country, they decided it was best to give those who have taken the bold step something to make them happy.

Though it has been over a year since the WHO declared COVID-19 a pandemic, and despite difficulties faced over the past twelve months, it is encouraging to see that there is now hope in the form of the vaccine.
