Daily Joke: A Generous Man Meets a Beggar on the Street

A man heading home from work runs into a homeless man begging for money on the street. Their encounter will crack you up as the man tries to take advantage of the situation to fix his marital problem.

Michael has been having constant arguments with his wife of 10 years, Melinda. She has never been happy about him having drinks with friends or going to the casino - activities he loves doing once in a while.

For Michael, their bedroom affairs the past two years also leave much to be desired. He feels deprived of intimacy, and this has been a source of tremendous frustration for him.

On this particular evening, Michael was heading home from work with a foul mood. It was Friday, and he had been looking forward to a night of binge-drinking with friends, but Melinda got in the way.

Over the phone, she insisted that he come home early because she prepared a special dinner for him and their two sons. Not that he doesn’t enjoy having dinner with family, but he had not seen his friends for three months.

He suspects his wife felt jealous every time he was having fun with his male friends. So she would often make up excuses for him to miss their drinking sessions or trips to the casino.

After turning a corner on his way to where he parked his car, he bumped into a homeless man. The latter begged him for a couple of dollars saying he could not afford to buy dinner. Michael asked him:

"Are you going to buy yourself drinks if I give you money?"

The homeless man vehemently said no, assuring Michael that he would spend the money on food. Michael then asked if he would use the money to gamble in the casino. The homeless man forcefully shook his head.

Michael decided to invite the man to have dinner with him and his family.

Michael then asks another question, this time about whether or not the homeless man intended to use the money to go to the club and hook up with a woman. Again, the latter said he would never do that.

With desperation and excitement, Michael said: “I need you to come home with me so I can show my wife what happens to a man once he gives up drinking, gambling and sex!”
