Willow Smith opened up about her lifestyle choice of being polyamorous during a recent episode of "Red Table Talk," which she hosts with her mother, Jada Pinkett Smith, and her grandmother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris.

The three women also interviewed a polyamorous couple, Gabrielle and her boyfriend Alex, married to another woman, about their relationship and how their multiple-person relationship works.

The conversation started with Willow sharing with her mother and grandmother why being polyamorous appealed to her. She explained that the basis of polyamory is that it gives certain freedom that lacks in a monogamous relationship.

She explained that polyamory gives someone the freedom to create a relationship style that they are comfortable with and not having to follow monogamy because everyone else follows that relationship style. Willow explained:

"The main foundation is the freedom to be able to create a relationship style that works for you and not just stepping into monogamy."

She added that infidelity is one of the main reasons for divorce. An infographic on the show informed watchers that 20 - 40 percent of divorces are caused by infidelity in the US.

Banfield-Norris, AKA Grammy, expressed that she felt polyamory was centered around sex. However, Willow was quick to explain that was not the case. For example, she explained out of her friend group, as the only polyamorist, she has the least sex.

Besides her "Red Table Talk," Willow is very busy with her music career. The singer released a new music video.

But more seriously, she explained that polyamory helps everyone's needs to be met. For example, Willow explained, if someone who did not enjoy having sex often was with someone who did, neither person's needs would be met.

Grammy shared that she and her husband had discussed polyamory at the beginning of their relationship but opted for a monogamous relationship. Jada remarked that there was an important difference between the two women as she said:

"The difference is that, you and Rodney have lived so much life, so when you are talking to a 20-year-old, who is thinking about being married."

The three women seemed to enjoy talking about the topic, and it gave a lot of insight into the family's views and their relationships. Many fans expressed in the comment section that they were excited the women had touched on the subject.

Besides her "Red Table Talk," Willow is very busy with her music career. The singer released a new music video for her song "Transparent Soul," which features Blink-182 member Travis Barker.

In the video, Willow wears different gothic styled clothing, including an all-black ensemble that featured bondage pants, a crop top, and big combo boots. The song has a very rock-punk sound to it.

The three women have had some fascinating topics and guests on their show. Last week, Alicia Etheredge-Brown and Bobby Brown discussed their tips on how to help a child through grief.
