6-Year-Old Girl Dies after Being Hit by a Car While Riding an ATV with a Family Friend
The investigating unit in NorthEast Harris Country reported the death of a 6-year-old girl after her involvement in a four-wheeler crash while driving with her 17-year-old family friend.
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, one of the investigating teams of North East Harris Country, took to Twitter to provide an update on the fatal collision between an SUV and an ATV that led to a loss of lives.
Following the tragic crash, a 17-year-old female died at the crash scene, while a six-year-old girl was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.

While giving the crash details, Gonzalez reported that an 18-year-old was behind the wheel of the SUV. With him were four passengers who were between the ages of 16 and 17. They all survived the crash, with the driver in stable condition and the passengers incurring no injuries.
According to the Sheriff, the deceased teenager was driving the ATV and ignored a stop sign. Hence, she drove into the intersection at the same time as the SUV which was traveling at a high-speed rate.

After the crash, the ATV driver and the little girl were ejected from the vehicle and thrown many feet away from the crash scene. When paramedics arrived, the little girl was unconscious and had no pulse. Hopes that she would survive the crash were dashed at the hospital.
Twitter followers called for a ban of four-wheels while others said their prayers for the family.
Medics performed multiple tests and scans to save her life. However, all efforts to save her were futile, as she was declared brain dead.
Initially, the tragic event was said to have involved a mother and her six-year-old daughter. However, the wrong information was corrected later. When the crash was first reported, Captain J. Shannon wrote:
"Mother and 6 year old Daughter on 4 wheeler were transported with CPR in progress."

Captain Shannon further described the crash scene as terrible, adding that the SUV driver was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Reacting to this sad event, some Twitter followers called for a ban of four-wheels while others said their prayers for the family in the comment section.
A GoFundMe Page has been set up for the demised little girl whose name was Giselle Marcia. The fundraiser is to help her family with her funeral expenses.
On the page, Giselle, whose family referred to her as "Gigi," was described as a girl so full of life. Meanwhile, the teenage operator of the ATV was only identified as a family friend to Giselle.
Early this year, a similar event claimed the life of a 9-year-old boy in Detroit. The victim, identified as Mai'Juan Calderin, died after being hit by a car while riding an ATV.
Drivers must maintain caution and respect road traffic regulations when driving to avoid accidents like these. May the lost souls rest in peace.
