California Tree-Trimmer Arrested for Allegedly Killing Three Elderly Women
A California native, Ryan Scott Blinston, was arrested for the gruesome killings of three older women and has also been charged with attempted murder.
Ryan Scott Blinston, who is already detained for attempted murder, was charged with three other separate murders due to a multi-agency investigation.
Butte County District Attorney Mike Ramsey and another district attorney, Matt Rogers, revealed they filed the new charges in Butte County Superior Court against Blinston.

The 37-year-old is facing charges for the murder of Loreen Severs, 88, and the attempted murder of her spouse Homer Severs, 91, including Viky Cline, 57, and Sandra George, 82.
There is another charge filed against Blinston accusing him of arson for Cline's vehicle. Ramsey and Rogers said they agreed to combine all the charges to be tried in Butte County Superior Court.

Ramsey and Rogers said the murder complaints would allow them to seek a life without possibility of parole sentence for the suspect.
However, the charges are distinct from the previously filed account for the attempted murder of a Brush Creek man, which he is already facing.

Blinston was a worker for a tree trimming business, and he offered his services to two of his alleged victims before he returned to murder them.
Ramsey and Rogers said that through combined efforts, they will be able to seek justice for the victims and ensure no one else will be harmed.

Blinston is facing a life sentence charge for cutting the victims' throats last May and June. Evidence revealed that he forced his way into the Servers' home.
The couple had their throats slashed, according to the authorities. Homer survived the incident but died in December of an unrelated illness.
Afterward, he completed work at George's house, he returned to her residence and cut her throat. Two days later, he killed Cline the same way.

A similar attack occurred in September 2013, whereby a gardener shot three British family members. The disgruntled staff member left a person dead and two injured in Turkey.
The suspect shot Catherine Bury four times following an argument with her. He also opened fire at the grandmother, Cecilia, in the back, her grandson, Alex, in the leg. Identified as Velli Acar, he was a handyman who was an alcoholic.
