Melissa Rivers Only Has One Son and Regrets Not Having More Kids — Inside Her Personal Life

Actress and TV host Melissa Rivers, the only child of late comedian Joan Rivers, once admitted she regrets having only one child as she loves motherhood.

Born in January 1968, Melissa Rivers is a popular actress, producer, and TV show host who worked with her mother, Joan Rivers, on “Fashion Police” between 2002 and 2015.

The mother-and-daughter duo also had their own reality show, “Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best?” that ran for three years. Unfortunately, Joan passed away in September 2014.

Joan underwent a routine endoscopy that August but went into cardiac arrest and was placed in a medically induced coma. She never woke up, and Melissa had to make the difficult decision of taking her mom off life support.

Months after her passing, Melissa confessed that no matter how prepared you think you are for doing such a thing, you’re not actually ready.

Melissa revealed she slept next to her mother the last night she was alive. The following day, they removed the ventilator, and some family members stayed by Joan’s bedside and talked to her.

Shortly after, doctors asked them to leave the room so that Joan could start to let go. About one hour later, the “Fashion Police” star died. Cooper, Melissa’s only son, was 14 years old at the time and was also by Joan’s side before she died.
