Since early May, D.C authorities have been searching for infant Kyon Jones. In a stunning turn of events, the mother of the missing infant was charged with murder after confessing to disposing of his body.

LaDonia Boggs, the mother, admitted to dumping her baby after she allegedly found him to be deceased. This admission was caught on video by Henderson Long who shared it online on May 9, 2021.

She alleged that she was asleep with him on her chest, and upon awakening, her premature baby had stopped drawing breath. Boggs claimed that she took fright, eventually divulging:

“I...got a blanket and his car seat, and wrapped it up and took it outside and just throwed it in the trash.”

She claimed that she didn't know the current whereabouts of Kyon. Police were recently found looking through a Charles City Country landfill in Virginia along with cadaver hounds.

Boggs' story that she shared with Long was allegedly the same as the one she told law enforcement. Sources have also claimed that officers went through the mother's residence.

Boggs was arrested and officially charged with first-degree murder.

A man claiming to be Kyon's father has said that he got hold of the local police after his son's disappearance. He claimed that he was told that Child Protective Services (CPS) were looking after him.

On May 8, 2021, the Washington Metropolitan Police Department posted on Facebook, asking the community for assistance. They stated:

"Kyon Jones... was last seen in the 1500 Block of Benning Road NE, on Wednesday May 5, 2021."

THE MOTHER'S ARREST

As it stands, Kyon's mother is the only suspect in the case. She was arrested and officially charged with first-degree murder.

Since then, the suspect has been released from custody without bond following an arraignment hearing. The infant's remains are still missing.

Recently, another mother came under fire for harming her children. Sarah Whitney Ganoe allegedly murdered her infant and seriously injured another child of hers.

She was charged with murder after purportedly stabbing her 10-month-old son to death as well as her 8-year-old daughter who survived the knife wounds. The police claimed that the crime scene was horrific.
