Story of the Day: A Little Boy Came up to His Mother with a Piece of Paper
A little boy had been thinking of getting paid for his services at home and decided to give his mom a list of all he has done and how much he was owed.
Kai, an 8-year-old boy, had been making a list of all his activities around the house and how much he should be paid. So one evening, he approached his mom, who was in the kitchen making dinner.

When she saw him, she asked if she could help him with anything, and he nodded and handed a neatly folded note to her. Surprised, she cleaned her hands on the apron and unfolded the paper, and read: For cutting the grass = $5.00

The surprised mom looked at her son and thought of a perfect response for him. Kai, excited, felt his mom was about to grant him his wish, so he sat down on the kitchen stool while his mom picked a pen and wrote on the back of the paper. Here is what she wrote:
For all the nights filled with fear and for the worries I knew were ahead = No Charge
For the nine months I carried you while you were inside me = No Charge.

For the gifts, free meals, clothes, and even cleaning your nose = No Charge
For all the difficult days and the tears that you've caused through the years = No Charge
For all the nights that I've sat up with you, cared, and prayed for you = No Charge
When you add it up, the cost of my love is = No Charge

Kai had big tears streaming down his face when he finished reading what his mom had written as her response to his request. He looked at his mom and said, "mom, I sure do love you." He took the pen, and in capital letters, he wrote: PAID IN FULL.
Here is another interesting story about a man who sends his daughter to an orphanage because his new wife does not like her.
