It was a tragic moment for the family of 9-year-old Trinity Ottoson-Smith after she was confirmed dead at the North Memorial Medical Centre, Minneapolis, on Thursday, May 27, 2020.

The little girl died two weeks after she sustained gunshot injuries. According to the Minneapolis police, Ottoson-Smith was shot while playing on a trampoline with her friends.

The police explained that on May 15, the suspect shot at a house while driving down the alley. Unfortunately, the deceased was hit in the process. According to reports, she was the only one to get hurt.

A spokesperson from the police department, John Elder, revealed that the child fought for her life for twelve days and died after 4 PM on that Thursday. The family members of the deceased have set up a GoFundMe account.

The campaign has been created to aid in footing the deceased's medical expenses and her funeral. According to the page, Ottoson-smith looked forward to being a teacher someday.

It also explained that the 9-year-old enjoyed playing Roblox with her friends, making TikTok videos, riding her bike, going on adventures, doing gymnastics, and playing basketball and softball.

Ottoson-smith joined the list of three kids under 10 to be shot between April 30 and May 17. 6-year-old Aniya Allen and 10-year-old Ladavionne Garrett Jr were the other victims.

Allen was shot in the head and sadly died last week from her injuries after a struggle. According to Elder, there have been several hints regarding the three unfortunate scenarios.

The families of the children shot are calling for justice to be served and are pleading that the culprits turn themselves in. Rev. Brian Herron from the Zion Baptist Church spoke about the incidents.
