Sylvester Stallone, 74, Defies Age as He Lifts 90 Lbs at the Gym in New Workout Video
Sylvester Stallone proved he has not aged since starring in the "Rocky" films in a new workout video he shared to Instagram.
Sylvester Stallone proved age is only a number in his new workout video that he shared this month. In the short video, the 74-year-old lifted two very heavy barbells; each weighed two 45 pounds.
The video starts with Stallone on his knees. He moves around, trying to get momentum before he stands up and holds the two barbells over his head like a true champion.

In the caption, Stallon tagged his personal trainer, Gunnar Peterson, also Khloe Kardashian's trainer. Many of the movie star's fans took to the comment section to share how impressed they were with his workout.
One fan wrote that despite Stallone nearing 75, he could still train like a beast. Stallon himself acknowledged his achievement in the caption of the video as he called the workout heavy:
"Good “heavy” morning! Punching hard till the final bell… @gunnarfitness @slystalloneshop"

Stallone is very inspiring as he can lift weights and work out like he is still in his 30s, which was when he appeared in the "Rocky" films in the 70s and 80s.
The films' fourth installment, "Rocky IV," turned 35 in November 2020. A few months before the anniversary of the film, Stallone announced that he would make a new director's cut for the film.
Unfortunately, the actor will not reprise the role in the third installment of the film.

Stallone starred and directed the fourth film. However, his own directing got him into serious trouble as it landed him in the intensive care unit after he directed one of the boxing scenes.
He told his costar, Dolph Lundgren, to really punch him during the filming. Lundgren did not hold back as one of his uppercuts hit his ribs and cause his heart to hit against his ribcage. Stallone said of his visit to the hospital:
"Dolph Lundgren put me in the hospital for nine days, I knew I was in trouble when I showed up and nuns met you at the ICU."

Stallone and his costar had two weeks off of filming so Stallone could recover. Lundgren acknowledged the accident in an interview and stated that he had followed the instructions of Stallone and his directorial choices.
Stallone later reprised his role as Rocky Balboa in the "Creed" movies, where he acts as a mentor for Michael B. Jordan's Adonis "Donnie" Johnson Creed, who was the son of Apollo Creed, Balboa's rival.

Unfortunately, the actor will not reprise the role in the third installment of the film. "Creed III" is set to be released in November 2022, and Jordan will make his directorial debut for the movie.
Although Stallone has not been busy filming the movie, he has been busy with other things. His Instagram is filled with pictures of himself at the gyms and spending time with his wife and three daughters.
