ITV Royal Producer Lizzie Robinson Claims Meghan Markle Will Not Fly to London with Prince Harry during Upcoming Trip
Next month, Prince Harry is meant to fly from the US to the UK for the unveiling of his late mother's statue. According to a royal producer, the Duke of Sussex won't be accompanied by his wife.
On July 1, 2021, Prince Harry is meant to be flying to the UK for the unveiling of his late mother, Princess Diana’s statue. The event will be attended by Royal Family members.
Harry’s older brother, Prince William, will also be in attendance. The date chosen for the unveiling was the day that the late People’s Princess would have turned sixty if she was still alive.

Diana passed away suddenly in 1997 after being involved in a car crash in Paris, France. The statue was set to be placed and unveiled in Diana’s favorite spot on Kensington Palace's grounds, in the Sunken Gardens.
It was believed that Harry’s wife, Duchess Meghan, might join him on the trip. However, she just gave birth to the couple’s second child and daughter, Lilibet “Lili” Diana, on June 4, 2021.
On June 16, 2021, an update on whether Meghan would join her husband on July 1st was given by ITV royal producer Lizzie Robinson. Taking to her Twitter account, she wrote:
“Meghan will not fly to the UK to join Harry for the unveiling of a statue of his late mother Princess Diana on July 1st.”
Robinson explained that a source had confirmed the news to her after a US website claimed Meghan would be attending the event. The publication alleged that Meghan wanted to be with Harry when he met his family.
She allegedly wanted to be by his side since this would be the first meeting since Harry accused his father of passing on “genetic pain.” The last time Harry saw his family was in April 2021 for Prince Philip’s funeral.
Speaking about Philip’s funeral, Meghan didn’t attend that either because her physician advised her not to travel. At the time, the royal was heavily pregnant with her second child.
The monarch isn’t the only one missing out on having a relationship with Harry’s children…
The Daily Mirror also dismissed the claims revealing that a source close to the Sussex couple said Meghan wasn’t going to travel. The insider said the Duchess was going to stay with the newborn baby.
Besides the Royal Family missing out on seeing Meghan, they also won’t get to see the Sussex’s children, including son Archie, 2. A royal author thought the Queen might never get to see her great-grandchildren.
The monarch got to know Archie when he lived in the UK, but since Harry and Meghan moved to the US, the Queen hasn’t seen him. Phil Dampier also predicted that Harry’s wife wouldn’t return to the UK.
The monarch isn’t the only one missing out on having a relationship with Harry’s children; a Daily Mail source claimed the Duke’s father, Prince Charles, only saw Archie twice since his birth.
The insider alleged that each Royal Family member could count on one hand the number of times they saw Archie after his birth and before the Sussexes left the UK to relocate to the US.
