Bindi Irwin Speaks Out for First Time Following Her Revelation of Feud with Grandfather Bob Irwin
Bindi Irwin shared a candid message with her followers, wherein she detailed the importance of mental health. This came following the social media drama with her family concerning her feud with her grandfather, Bob Irwin.
Australian conservationist Bindi Irwin has informed fans of her wish to stay off social media to concentrate on her family and the happiness that she feels with them.
This came following the backlash she received on social media from her extended family members. This was so because of Bindi’s speculations that there was a prolonged rift between her and her grandfather, Bob Irwin.

Bindi noted that fans who wanted to keep up could check updates on Australian Zoo media platforms and her family’s social media pages as well. The mom-of-one added that she would be keeping off her media pages for a month.
Bindi’s claims and public address were followed by criticism from some family members.
Bindi wrote about people that have reached out to her concerning their stories on mental health, adding that mental health issues were real and needed to be addressed. She relayed in her caption:
“Surround yourself with the light of people who genuinely care about you and will support you during the good times and the hard times…”
While celebrating Father’s Day, Bindi’s message came with mixed feelings as she first showed appreciation to her late dad, Steve Irwin, her husband, Chandler Powell, and father-in-law, Chris Powell.
The 22-year-old wrote sweetly about them, mentioning their impacts on her life. Bindi noted that her dad taught her the importance of strength, while her husband was kind and his dad a source of encouragement.
Moving further, the wildlife enthusiast alluded to the strained relationship between her and her grandfather, Bob, as she claimed that she had not reached out in a long time.
Bindi also shared that Bob refused any gesture of family love or kindness from her. She added that the Australia Zoo founder had rejected her gifts several times. Bindi relayed that Bob has shown no interest in her family.
However, Bindi’s claim and public address were followed by criticism from some family members. Another of Bob’s granddaughters, Bethany Wheeler, had a different opinion to give.
She described her grandfather as “one of the most genuinely beautiful humans on this planet” Wheeler shared that she found most of Bindi’s opinions about Bob to be “appalling.”
Amanda French, a family friend who also wrote Bob’s autobiography, relayed that she was in disbelief about Bindi’s public address. She shared that Bob was nothing but kind.
She described the 82-year-old former zookeeper as an introvert who has managed in recent years, with “his head buried in the sand” and not someone who can navigate other people.
