'Insecure' Star Issa Rae Tied the Knot with a Successful Man – Meet Her Husband, Louis Diame

Issa Rae is popularly known as an American actress, producer, and writer. She was catapulted into fame for her immense work on the YouTube series "Awkward Black Girl." She is also famous for her character as Issa Dee on the HBO Comedy-drama "Insecure."

Even though the show draws its inspiration from Rae's love life, the actress prefers to keep her real-life relationship away from the public eye. She once revealed during an interview that she did not like the idea of strangers commenting on her personal matters.

A few hours ago, the star actress left her fans and followers speechless after she hilariously announced the news of her wedding to her long-time lover—Louis Diame.

The pair walked down the aisle in a private and intimate ceremony, and Rae adequately shared a series of snapshots from the lovely occasion. In the pictures, Rae beamed with joy and looked stunning in an Ivory Strapless White ball gown with a chapel-length veil.

On the other hand, the groom was clad in a red Dolce and Gabbana Velvet Tuxedo and a lovely black bow tie. One of the slides featured the bride surrounded by her bridesmaids, who donned lilac dresses while holding matching bouquets.

The fantastic wedding appeared to have taken place in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat in the South of France. In the caption, Rae tagged the beautiful wedding photos as an impromptu photo shoot with somebody's husband. The producer further wrote:

"My girls came to help me, but they all coincidentally had on the same dress! They were so embarrassed."

Fans, followers, and celebrities were intrigued by the new revelation and trooped to the comments section to rain words of admiration on the raving beauty. American businesswoman Tina Knowles said Rae made a gorgeous bride.

Another Instagram user said, "I knew you'd make the most beautiful bride ever, congratulations queen." Other delighted fans penned down congratulatory messages for the actress, and it was nothing short of a spectacle.

He made known that Rae and Diame had been dating forever and that the latter was like a brother to him.

Diame is originally a native of Senegal, and according to his alleged private LinkedIn page, he is reportedly an Independent banking professional in Los Angeles. Although not much is known about Diame professionally, some sources identified him as a businessman.

It also appears that Diame has some acting skills as he once made an appearance on an episode of his wife's web series— "Awkward Black Girl," in 2012. The Senegalese have also been seen on a few red carpet events with his woman, including the 2017 Golden Globes after-party.

Due to the nature of Issa's privacy with her relationship life, there is only a little information about the beautiful couple's love story.

Speculations about Issa's engagement with Diame first came to the spotlight in 2019, after she was seen on the cover of Essence Magazine, wearing a diamond-studded ring.

Even though fans would have loved to hear the news of an engagement, the writer brushed it off during an interview. Speaking on "The View," Rae explained that she usually had many rings on her fingers because she loved jewelry.

However, the engagement news was finally made official by Rae's fellow "Insecure" actors, Jay Ellis, Courtney Tezeno, Yvonne Orji, and Jason Carter, on Entertainment Tonight, during the NAACP Image Awards in 2019.

Rae's brother, Lamine Diop, also spoke candidly about his sister's relationship on US Weekly. He made it known that Rae and Diame had been dating forever and that the latter was like a brother to him.
