Mom Sparks Debate for Feeding Her Baby like a Bird

A young mother named Alice Bender is currently dividing the internet after revealing that she feeds her baby similar to the way a bird feeds its nestlings. However, she believes it to be normal.

The 21-year-old recently uploaded a video to TikTok, where she usually shares videos with her husband and baby, where she can be seen feeding her son Fern an apple.

But instead of grabbing a knife and cutting little pieces at a time, Alice just speeds up the whole process with a quite unique and controversial approach - by using her mouth.

A DIFFERENT APPROACH

The video starts with Alice standing in front of the camera, lip-syncing a popular song from the television show "Adventure Time" as her son can be seen sitting on a high chair in the background while wearing a fawn hat.

The clip then cuts to a bit where Alice is taking small bites out of the apple and dropping them in front of the child, who eagerly starts picking them up and eating them.

At one point, the family's dog can be spotted zooming into the room to pick up a small piece of fruit that fell on the floor, enjoying it as much as baby Fern.

Alice believed this to be something normal and harmless and was backed up by some of her fans and followers, who were quick to say that they too cut their children's food with their teeth.

OPINIONS DIVIDED

According to a user by the name of Michelle, she does it because it's actually easier than cutting the food, the same for user Michi, who uses the same technique for grapes.

But some other users were not as thrilled about Alice's feeding technique, considering it to be far from hygienic and suggesting that she is transferring bacteria from her mouth into the baby's.

A CONTROVERSIAL KISS

However, Alice wasn't the only parent judged for doing something that may seem out of the ordinary when it comes to their children. Back in December, Wiz Khalifa was in the news for kissing his son on the mouth.

In the Instagram clip, the rapper could be seen kissing his 7-year-old son Sebastian on the forehead and then giving him a quick kiss on the lips, which didn't bode well with his fans.

According to them, Sebastian was too old to be kissed on the lips by his parents, even though it was a simple and innocent gesture between father and son.
