Wiz Khalifa Sparks Heated Debate after Kissing His 7-Year-Old Son on the Mouth — See Reactions

Rapper Wiz Khalifa recently shared a video that showed him kissing his 7-year-old son on the mouth, sparking a heated discussion on social media.

On December 5, "Black and Yellow" hitmaker Wiz Khalifa posted a clip showing behind the scenes of a video shoot. The start of the clip featured Khalifa displaying his affection for his son.

The 33-year-old rapper kissed his 7-year-old son Sebastian on the forehead and then gave him a quick kiss on the mouth. It was an innocent gesture that did not sit well with some fans.

CRITICISM FROM FANS

Some parents go the extra mile when showing their love and affection for their children. While others love to give hugs or kisses on the cheeks and forehead, others kiss their children on the lips.

Khalifa is part of the latter group. Seeing nothing wrong with the gesture, the "Work Hard, Play Hard" rapper shared the tender father-son moment with fans. But not all were pleased. One fan tweeted:

"Wiz Khalifa really needs to stop kissing his son on the mouth like that."

The fan added that Khalifa's son is too old to be given a kiss on the lips. Another Twitter user expressed that she found it weird when parents kiss their kids on the mouth.

But one fan came to the rapper's defense, saying that she saw nothing wrong with the gesture. Another expressed disbelief that people think Khalifa can't kiss his own son.

Khalifa and Rose were together for three years before deciding to end their marriage in 2014.

EARLIER PARENT-SHAMING EXPERIENCE

Khalifa shares his son with actress and model Amber Rose. The former couple, who split in 2014, reunited in February this year to celebrate Sebastian's 7th birthday.

Aside from the latest controversial video, Khalifa earlier drew flak after showing his son taking the bus on his first day of school. Some fans took to social media to school the "Remember You" rapper.

They found it odd that Khalifa would allow his son to ride the bus, consider his sizeable wealth. But Khalifa clapped back at his critics. He maintained he was happy he let his son ride the bus.

He went on to say that he was confident with his parenting skills and that he would rather not pay attention to what other people think because his relationship is with his son.

Khalifa and Rose continue to co-parent their son even as they have moved on from their failed relationship. In October 2019, Rose welcomed a son with music executive Alexander Edwards.

Khalifa and Rose were together for three years before deciding to end their marriage in 2014. The model earlier said that she and the rapper talked about ca-parenting early on.

Besides his son, Khalifa has his career and business to deal with. Last month, it was reported that he and Michael Strahan were being sued by their Khalifa Kush business partners.
