The "Black and Yellow" rapper revealed just how he fits everything into a single day, and between raising his son, running his social media, staying committed to fitness, and spending hours in the recording studio, his days are anything but ordinary.

While fans often see the finished product on social media or hear the music that comes out of the studio, Wiz Khalifa explained that much of his day is spent behind the scenes.

During a 2024 appearance on the "Sorry We're Stoned" podcast, the rapper walked hosts Tish Cyrus, 59, and Brandi Cyrus, 39, through his typical routine, from the moment he wakes up until he finally calls it a night.

Wiz Khalifa Starts His Day Before Sunrise

For the Pittsburgh rapper, the day begins long before most people are awake. Because he shares a morning routine with his son, Khalifa said he's up around 6 a.m. to help get him ready for school.

"My day starts with him — getting him ready for school at like 6:00 in the morning," he explained. However, he said the early start is about more than simply getting out the door.

"He's one of those kids where he wants — he needs my attention," he continued, explaining that his son likes having his father do his hair and often needs help making sure he hasn't forgotten essentials, including his basketball shorts. The rapper added:

Social Media Is a Full-Time Job

Once his son is at school, Khalifa turns his attention to another major responsibility — managing his brand online. According to the "Black and Yellow" rapper, he typically spends the time between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. focused almost entirely on social media.

"Being a [expletive] content creator is a full-time job," he said. Rather than handing those responsibilities to someone else, he explained that he remains deeply involved in nearly every aspect of his content.

"And nobody can do it the way that I want it done," Khalifa shared. The rapper noted that he has always managed his own social media accounts and continues to oversee much of the creative process himself, saying:

"I come up with the ideas, I edit the majority of it, or if I'm not sitting there editing it myself, I'm giving the notes on it. Like, back and forth until that [expletive] gets right. Everything — artwork, mixes on music — everything. Like I'm completely involved when it comes to my brand."

Fitness, Family Time, and Long Nights in the Studio

After wrapping up work on his online content, Khalifa shifts his focus to fitness. The rapper revealed that he works out every day, or at least five days a week, typically from noon until about 1 or 2 p.m.

"And then I'll go work out, 'cause I'm into my fitness," he explained. Once his workout is over, he heads home to spend time with his son after school before fitting in a short nap.

Then the rest of the evening is reserved for music. According to the rapper, he usually arrives at the studio around 9 p.m. and stays there until 3 or 4 a.m., working through the night before repeating the routine the next day.

His schedule prompted the 39-year-old co-host to point out that he could only be getting a few hours of sleep. He agreed, stating:

"Yeah, I get like two or three hours at night and then I get an hour, maybe hour and a half nap during the day."

Taken together, Wiz Khalifa's schedule leaves him with roughly three to four and a half hours of sleep in a typical day while balancing fatherhood, content creation, fitness, and long nights in the studio.
