Daily Joke: American Businessman Gives Life Advice to a Simple Fisherman from a Mexican Town
An American businessman was on a trip to Mexico, and he decided to go to a small town. The man was enjoying the view of the river in the town one evening when he saw a fisherman.
The fisherman was inside his little boat, and the businessman noticed that he had several big tuna fish in his fishing basket. When the fisherman rowed closer to where he stood, the businessman called out to him.

The businessman was impressed with the amount of goldfish the fisherman was able to catch. He commended him and asked how long he took to be able to capture all the fish. The man replied that it did not take too long.
The American was surprised and continued to question the fisherman, asking him why he did not wait longer by the river to catch more fish. The local fisherman replied that he had caught enough fish that would sustain him and his family.
The American thought to himself for a few seconds and decided to give the fisherman some business advice. But first, he asked another question. He asked what the fisherman usually did when he was done fishing for the day.

The fisherman explained, "I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, take siesta with my wife, Maria, stroll into the village each evening where I sip wine and play guitar with my amigos. I have a full and busy life, señor."
With a scoff, the American told the fisherman that he was a Wharton MBA and he was willing to help him succeed with the business.
For starters, the industrialist advised the fisherman to spend more time on work than pleasure so he can reap more sales. With better sales, he could buy a bigger boat and have more fish for sale.
The businessman added that the higher income would afford him to purchase more ships and expand his business, and with all the boats and products in his possession, he could sell directly to the processor. The businessman assured him that this strategy would give him great success and earn him more.
With this kind of success, the business said that the fisherman would be able to open his own cannery and take control of all the product processing, production, and distribution. In the end, he could even end up leaving the small town and moving to bigger cities for more extensive business deals.
By this time, the fisherman was already daydreaming. He was brought back to the present when the American placed a hand on his shoulder. The fisherman looked up at the businessman and asked how long it would take to reach such heights.
The business adviser then simply told him that it would be 15 or 20 years. The fisherman pondered the thought then asked what he would do after. The American laughed and said the best part would be when he sold his company and became a millionaire. The fisherman was getting more excited, so he asked what to do with all the millions afterward.
Wit a big grin on the businessman's face, he told the fisherman that he would retire and move to a small coastal fishing village, where he would sleep late, fish a little, play with his kids, take siestas with the wife, stroll to the town in the evenings, sip wine, and play the guitar with friends.
If you enjoyed this joke, you might find this one even more hilarious. It's about a fisherman who always went fishing every day but stayed back one day to return to his wife in bed. His sleepy wife gave him a shocker.
