Wealthy Guest Changes Hotel Bellboy's Life by Leaving Him an Impressive Inheritance
Taskin Dasdan, a bellboy at a hotel in Turkey, never has to work again after receiving the lion's share of a wealthy hotel guest's property. The life-changing gift has left Dasdan filled with gratitude.
Having served as a bellboy at the Korumae Hotel De Luxe in Aydin, Turkey, since 1990, Taskin Dasdan grew fond of most of his guests due to his talent for making people feel at home.
One guest particularly grew fond of the hotel bellboy, developing a familial bond with him. Following his death in July, Dasdan received a fortune from the wealthy British guest, Charles George Courtney.

Relatives of the British mogul were stunned when they read his last will to discover that the bellboy was the main beneficiary of Courtney's large empire. He also willed smaller amounts to other members of the hotel staff, to everyone's surprise.
None of the beneficiaries expected the life-changing inheritance and only discovered it after officials from the UK contacted the hotel, requesting to speak to some of the staff.
During the call, the beneficiaries got to know their longtime guest-turned-family left them parts of his inheritance.
Courtney reportedly spent his holidays at the hotel every year for almost as long as Dasdan had worked there. Each time he patronized the Turkish hotel, the Briton stayed at room 401, which soon became known as "Charlie's room" by staff members.
The bellboy admittedly did his best to make the elderly man feel welcome all those years, just as he did with other guests. Speaking to news outlets, he explained:
"At the hotel, we treat everyone equally. We treat them as family, not as tourists."

However, the warm gesture touched the 87-year-old more than anyone could have guessed. As their friendship developed, Courtney became eager to assist the bellboy financially, even giving him generous amounts to support his children's education.
Yet, not even the old man's previous generosity could have prepared the hotel worker for the shocker. While the monetary value or nature of the inheritance was not disclosed, insiders confirmed the fortune was enough to sustain Dasdan for the rest of his life even if he never worked again.

But the Turkish man has no intention to quit working. He told news outlets that he loved his job at the hotel because it enabled him to meet people from various spheres of life, and he intended to keep working as a bellboy.
While running into such luck still feels like a dream, Dasdan is grateful to his old friend for leaving him a fortune in his will.
The story of the British man, who went from being a guest at the hotel to becoming a part of the family, was one the employees at Korumae Hotel De Luxe won't be quick to forget.
