Brewster and Morfit first sparked engagement rumors earlier this week as she was photographed wearing a massive diamond on her left ring finger, Page Six reported.
The outlet shared photos of Brewster and Morfit walking around Hollywood. She wore ripped jeans, a white shirt, and a yellow cardigan, and the engagement ring was on full display as she held her cellphone against her chest.
In her essay, Brewster described Morfit as the love of her life.
Brewster and Morfit started dating shortly after the actress and her ex-husband Andrew Form separated during the COVID-19 pandemic. The ex-couple were married for 13 years and share two sons, Julian, 8, and Rowan, 5.
Brewster has spoken candidly about her separation and falling in love with Morfit in an insightful essay for Glamour in which she said the divorce was neither her nor her ex-husband's fault:
"Ultimately my divorce wasn’t my fault or my ex-husband’s fault. At 27, I was not ready to be emotionally open or vulnerable."
In the article published in June 2021, Brewster admitted she had rushed into her marriage with her first husband, and between busy work schedules and busy private lives, the couple had grown apart.
She also admitted that although she still speeds things up as she has already planned her second wedding, through writing and Morfit's support, she can take a moment to breathe, write and relax.
Of course, now her pre-engagement wedding planning will come in handy. The couple has yet to share details of a possible wedding date but perhaps will relish being engaged for a while first.
In her essay, Brewster described Morfit as the love of her life. The couple definitely seems happy together as Brewster regularly shares sweet photos of their life on her Instagram page.
