Jeannie Mai is going to be a mom! The "The Real" co-host sparked an uproar from netizens after revealing she was expecting her first child with her husband, Jeezy. Pictures recently shared on her Instagram page showed Mai flaunting her baby bump, and fans had a lot to say.

Congratulations are in order for American Television presenter and make-up artist Jeannie Mai and her rapper husband Jeezy, as they are set to welcome their first child together. Mai's social media fans and followers have gotten to share in her joy following a recent upload.

Taking to Instagram a few hours ago, Mai shared heartwarming pictures of herself and her husband, basking in joy. Here's a look at what the couple looked like and what her numerous supporters had to say.

A BUN IN THE OVEN

Mai shared a five-piece slideshow that saw her and Jeezy spending time on a huge yacht and donning beautiful outfits. In the first slide, the television host was clad in a gorgeous blue dress with a deep slit.

The elegant outfit had a long tail that swayed with the wind. Mai paired her dress with brown strappy heels, a pair of dark glasses, and an array that fits accessories.

On the other hand, Jeezy was clad in an all-white ensemble and framed his face with huge dark glasses. He could be seen kneeling in front of his wife and planting a kiss on her baby bump as Mai leaned in to give him a peck on his head.

The second slide was a solo snap of the star wearing the same outfit and channeling her modeling instincts.She soaked up the rays of the sun, standing sideways with her legs slightly apart.

The blue sky and the ocean were in agreement, as they added a touch of nature and serenity to the image. In the caption, Mai noted that she has never been so thankful to be alive. The stylist also wrote:

MAI'S FERTILITY STRUGGLES

Mai made the news about her pregnancy public on Monday during an episode of "The Real." The mom to be made it known that she had kept her status a secret for five months and was excited to finally make the announcement.

Mai had previously made it known that she had no intentions of getting pregnant, however, her stance changed almost a year ago, and she decided to start a family. Mai and Jeezy's road to having a child was filled with traumatic experiences.

Being 42-years-old, the makeup artist opted for an IVF, which eventually worked, and a month before their wedding, Mai discovered she was pregnant. A moment of joy soon turned to sadness for the couple as Mai had a miscarriage shortly after.

The "The Real" co-host thought of her miscarriage as a punishment or a curse for not wanting to have children. Mai eventually had her doubts turned around after finding out she was pregnant again, a week after her wedding.

INSIDE MAI AND JEEZY'S RELATIONSHIP

Mai and her recording artist husband first met each other during an episode of "The Real," which featured Jeezy as a guest. A few years after their encounter, the entrepreneur asked Mai out on a date, and it was the beginning of something great.

For their first date, Mai and Jeezy visited a lovely restaurant, where they had sushi dinner and danced salsa all through the night. In March last year, the latter organized a Vietnam-themed date night after canceling a trip to Vietnam due to the pandemic.

While the couple enjoyed a romantic night, Jeezy made his feelings known and popped the question, to which Mai gave a positive reply. A year after their engagement, the lovebirds walked down the aisle in an intimate ceremony at their home in Atlanta.

They said their nuptials in front of a few close family friends and immediate family. For the occasion, Mai donned a nude wedding dress with matching appliques made by Galia Lahav, a Galia Lahav 15-foot veil, and diamond and morganite jewelry.

On the other hand, Jeezy opted for a champagne blush tuxedo, while guests were requested to wear off-white outfits. Tall glass candles, maple trees, and a live band added poise to the occasion.

MAI'S UGLY DIVORCE

Before tying the knot with Jeezy, Mai was previously married to actor and producer Freddy Harteis. The pair walked down the aisle in 2007, and a decade after their marriage, they called it quits.

Many cited infidelity as the core reason for their divorce, but Mai spoke candidly about her split on "The Real." Throughout her marriage with Harteis, there was no infidelity, lies, or betrayal. According to her, the actor was the best man she had known, but things didn't work out.

Mai said Harteis had pressured her into starting a family, which she had no interest in doing. Sadly, the stylist could not get pregnant to save her marriage, and the pair eventually went their separate ways.
