“The Brady Bunch” remains one of the most beloved sitcoms of the 20th century, and its fame even spills into modern-day movie fans, and some of its cast members have gone on to achieve legendary status.

The show was popular for launching the careers of new stars and cementing the legacy of others like the beloved sitcom mom, Florence Henderson, who is widely considered as one of the most famous TV moms.

Aside from playing a mom on TV, Henderson was a natural mom to some of the younger castmates like Christopher Knight, with whom she remained close friends until her death in 2016.

Aside from helping Knight organize his career, Henderson was a strong presence in his personal life, and their relationship afforded her the right to approve and disapprove of his partner choice.

KNIGHT AND HIS FOURTH MARRIAGE

The '70s were a good time for Knight as his career was on the rise, but after the show, he did not quickly find the fame he had hoped for and struggled for a while during much of the '80s.

After a series of shows, Knight was able to revive his career and get his life on track but there were other areas the actors struggled in, especially in his relationships which have seen him walk down the aisle four times.

Some of his marriages have been high profile, especially his union with his third wife, the winner of "America's Next Top Model," Adrianne Curry, whom he married in 2006 and divorced in 2012. His first marriage was to Julie Schulman and then Toni Erickson.

After the third divorce, the 63-year-old waited for some years before making another commitment, and in 2016, he was sure he had got it right, and this time, he married fitness enthusiast and businesswoman Cara Kokenes.

Despite the popularity of her husband, Kokenes is a big shot in her own right, and fans love seeing her and Knight together. The couple tied the knot on November 5, 2016, on a yacht in the middle of Lake Michigan and in the presence of close friends and family, and since then, they have had a happy relationship.

The duo loves to share pictures of their union, and there is no doubt that they are both finding their adventure thrilling and fun. In a post she once shared on Facebook, the fitness coach called Knight her best friend and soulmate.

HENDERSON APPROVED OF THEIR UNION

Henderson was sweetly considered a second mother to Knight, and as a mom, she made sure to play her part in scrutinizing his decision to walk down the aisle with Kokenes a few years after a third marriage that was proved to be a mess.

Fortunately, Henderson approved of their union, but she passed away just a few days after their wedding. In a mourning statement he wrote for her, Knight revealed that the late TV icon approved of his wife, and it was a great experience having her as family.

WHO IS KOKENES

Knight’s fourth wife seems to be quite the nerd and has a thing for gathering degrees and expanding her knowledge. She attended Miami University in Ohio and finished her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology.

She also has a B.A. degree in Psychology as well as her Master's of Science degree in Kinesiology, with her specialty being Cardiac Rehabilitation.

Despite being a lover of books, Knight’s wife loves to compete and seems to be a born winner. She has previously won national titles for uneven bars and vault and has a thriving career in helping people stay fit.

Kokenes has an entrepreneurial side to her and seems to have done a good job for herself; however, being married to the love of her life seems to be the source of her biggest joy.

HENDERSON AND KNIGHT’S BOND

Henderson died at age 82, but she left behind an impressive acting career that spanned decades, as well as the sweet friendship she shared with some of her old castmates. Knight, who played Peter Brady in “The Brady Bunch,” felt her loss more than anyone else would have.

The actor noted that Henderson’s opinion mattered to him, and he often found ways to please her and put a smile on her face. Although he did not get much verbal guidance from her, having her as a mentor was enough visual guidance for Knight.

Henderson was like an alternate mom for Knight, especially when his relationship with his biological mom hit the rocks, and he felt he had no one. His onscreen mom proved to be a huge source of relief.

Reports revealed that Henderson died surrounded by close family members after suffering heart failure, but the lives of those she influenced continue to carry her legacy.

HENDERSON DIDN'T APPROVE OF KNIGHT'S MARRIAGE

Although she was a close friend of his, Henderson did not always say yes to his decisions and was reported to have disapproved of his third marriage to Adrianne Curry.

Knight and Curry met on the show “The Surreal Life,” and with a 24 years age gap between them, Henderson doubted if their love was real or was driven by the desire for fame.

The comments were said to have angered Knight, who felt offended that his adored second mom would bad mouth his wife. Fortunately, both stars reportedly patched things up, and Knight would go on to divorce Curry.

THE DIVORCE

On what was supposed to be their fifth wedding anniversary, Curry and Knight announced their shocking split. The former couple cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split.

The marriage was Curry’s first, and they had no kids together, and Henderson would go on to say that the former of the couple did not take her advice as she thought the romance was only born for the camera.
