'Riverdale' Star KJ Apa Welcomes First Child with Girlfriend Clara Berry

'Riverdale' star KJ Apa is officially a father. His girlfriend, Clara Berry, shared the news that the couple welcomed their first child on September 23 with an adorable photo on Instagram.

Model Clara Berry revealed that she and her boyfriend, 'Riverdale' actor and singer KJ Apa, welcomed their first child on September 23, 2021. Berry shared a close-up of the little one resting his hand on his mother's finger and shared a touching caption alongside it.

In the photo, their son, Sasha Vai Keneti Apa, is wearing a white long sleeve top and is holding his mother's finger. Berry's smiley face finger tattoo can be seen in the picture as the mother and baby cuddle on what looks like a soft animal print jersey.

Apa's 'Riverdale' co-stars and other friends of the couple took to the comment section to congratulate the new parents. Vanessa Morgan wrote that the baby was her son River's best friend, while Camila Mendes congratulated the new mother and complimented his name.

Besides sharing Sasha's name and date of birth, Berry penned a sweet tribute to both her newborn and Apa. She described her baby as perfection and shared her gratitude for having two men in her life who filled her heart with a lot of love, as she wrote:

"He is a perfect perfection. I am the luckiest to have now two men of my life, filling my heart with this cosmic gigantic vast love. ❤️‍🔥"

The new dad has yet to post an announcement of the birth. However, he did share Berry's post on his Instagram Story. But he might have acknowledged the birth in a post about his album "Clocks," in which he thanked everyone who had helped him along the way.

The 24-year-old thanked Berry for taking his love for her to a new dimension this past week. Perhaps it was a reference to her bringing their child into the world. Although he has not posted directly about the birth, he confirmed they were expecting on Instagram earlier this year.

She shared a fun photo of herself posing in a fire-printed bikini which showed her bump.

The "Mad World" singer shared a snap of himself and Berry on a couch in May. Berry is playing with Apa's hair while her shirt is raised to reveal her growing belly. The couple received a lot of support on the photo as it gained over two million likes.

Apa did not caption the intimate image. The couple confirmed the news on a post Berry shared. Apa jokingly wrote "she's pregnant btw" to help those that did not pick up on the context clues. Berry replied and confirmed Apa's comment as she noted that they were pregnant.

Berry has not been shy in sharing glimpses of her pregnancy as her Instagram account has been filled with gorgeous photos of herself showing off her blossoming baby bump. She shared a fun photo of herself posing in a fire-printed bikini which showed her bump.

The new parents first sparked rumors of a possible romance in December 2019 as fans spotted them engaging with each other on Instagram. A few months later, in February 2020, Apa confirmed the news publically.

Over the last year, they have both shared adorable photos of each other and their lives online. There is no doubt fans hope to catch a glimpse of their little one in months to come as they raise their newborn.
