Woman Who Spent 78 Days in a Coma in 2020 Woke up to Discover Her Mother and Husband's Terrible Secret

Kamylla Wanessa Cordeiro de Melo woke up to a nightmare as she found out about her husband and mother’s affair while she was fighting for her life in the hospital.

It was a miracle that Kamylla Wanessa Cordeiro de Melo woke up from a 78-day coma, but it seemed like she had just walked into a nightmare once she awoke.

When her father came to pick her up from the hospital, he broke the news about de Melo’s husband and mother. Here’s what happened.

THE COMPETITION

De Melo’s mother was only 20 years old when she gave birth. Growing up, they did not have the best relationship. According to de Melo, her mom began “competing” with her during her teenage years. She told Marie Claire, as reported by News.com.au:

“[She] said that my clothes were better suited to her, that her food was better. Nothing I did was good enough.”

When de Melo turned 25, she fell in love with a man ten years her senior. In 2013, they tied the knot and had a son, now six, after a difficult pregnancy.

SLIPPING INTO A COMA

Everything was well until she suffered a stroke after bariatric surgery for hormone regulation. Unfortunately, de Melo ended up in a coma for 78 days while in the intensive care unit.

Although it was a painful experience, de Melo was able to bounce back and even met a lovely man with whom she is in a relationship.

What was supposedly her time in need of family became the moment she was betrayed. When she awoke, de Melo received the worst news.

THE AFFAIR

While fighting for her life in the hospital, de Melo’s mother went to her house to help her husband take care of their then-four-year-old son. Sadly, her mother and husband had an affair during those months.

She learned that her husband only came to the hospital once, and her mother, never. When she was discharged, de Melo’s father picked her up and explained how they were both betrayed. She narrated:

“It looked like he was being stabbed in the chest, a mixture of disappointment and disbelief.”

CONFIRMING THE STORY

De Melo called her mother to confirm the story, and it broke her heart to hear her mother say that she was happy in the arms of her daughter’s husband.

At present, her mother and now-ex-husband are married and flaunt their relationship. De Melo’s husband also gets to see their son every week as per court order.

Although it was a painful experience, de Melo was able to bounce back and even met a lovely man with whom she is in a relationship.

A similar story was previously reported of a young woman whose boyfriend cheated on her with another woman. However, instead of confronting him directly, she gave him a gift and broke up with him in a unique way.
