Marine Son Approaches Unsuspecting Mother in a Restaurant and His Surprise Makes Her Cry

A US Marine gave his mom a beautiful surprise, showing up months earlier than expected. The beautiful mother-son reunion has since gone viral on the internet.

After being separated for months, a mother finally reunited with her marine son in a family gathering planned beforehand. The mom was left in the dark until her beloved son crept up from behind and gave her an affectionate embrace.

LIFE AS A MILITARY MAN

The marine, Tanner Watson, had been away from his family throughout his nine-month deployment. His mom, Tiffeney Kriedman, expected him home in January, but the man somehow got off early.

Hence, he decided to make his return a surprise since he had all the elements in place. With the help of his brother, Kobe Linn, the marine officer organized a family gathering at a local restaurant in their hometown in Great Falls.

THE UNFORGETTABLE MOMENT

Their mom was present, along with other family members, some of whom were in on the surprise. As the family settled down to have their meal, Watson arrived in the company of his high school friend and slowly walked into the restaurant.

Kriedman, who backed the entrance, did not notice her son enter the establishment, nor did she realize as someone approached her from behind.

Once within reach, the young man grabbed his mom from behind, wrapping her in a bear hug which startled her. She became even more surprised upon noticing the marine uniform as realization struck her.

GOOD TO BE BACK HOME

Tears flooded down Kriedman’s eyes immediately, as the moment she’d anticipated for months finally arrived. She stood up in disbelief and threw herself into her son’s arms.

Other patrons at the restaurant watched the emotional reunion in apprehension, applauding the mother-son duo wrapped in a teary embrace. Watson admitted to being nervous at first, but witnessing his mom’s priceless reaction made the surprise reunion worth it.

At that moment, he felt he hadn’t been home in years and was grateful to be with his family again finally, an experience he would always cherish.

A MIX OF EMOTIONS

In an interview, Kriedman explained she never expected her son’s presence, as she had spoken to him days prior and learned he was due back home by January.

Seeing him at the restaurant triggered indescribable feelings parents of military personnel are all too familiar with. She was overwhelmed with surprise, happiness, and so many emotions all in one.

Linn, who helped pull it off, was also glad to have been a part of the wonderful surprise, which he described as the best thing he’d ever been a part of.
