Emotional Moment Father Stops Wedding So Daughter's Stepfather Can Walk Her Down the Aisle Too

While walking his daughter down the aisle on her wedding day, Todd Bachman suddenly stopped and honored the bride's stepfather. What he did left guests in tears.

Weddings are supposedly one of, if not the best days of a couple's life. However, planning for the event can be pretty difficult, especially if the family is not on good terms.

Brittany Peck experienced this difficulty when she had to give roles to her two dads, her biological father and stepfather, who both raised her growing up.

Peck was only six years old when her parents got a divorce. At a young age, the courtroom became a familiar space as she witnessed a long custody battle for both her and her sister. Peck shared:

"My parents could not agree on custody of me and my little sister. I had my own lawyer, and it was very, very bad. It could be a Lifetime movie with all that we've been through."

Specifically, his biological father, Todd Bachman, did not want to share his little girl with her stepdad, Todd Cendrosky. But as time passed, things became better, and the two dads learned that they were great parents.

In 2015, however, tension surrounded the family once again as Peck was getting married. The bride wanted both dads to walk her down the aisle but didn't know how to tell Bachman.

Guests in the venue were also emotional as they witnessed both fathers walk the daughter they love down the aisle.

Her stepfather, who is quite the emotional one, cried to his wife for a week leading up to the wedding. "He was like, 'I have a tux, but I don't have anything special to do,'" Peck said. In another interview, she added that Cendrosky felt awful "because he knew he would just sit in the crowd."

"I finally just built up the courage to call him about two weeks before the wedding and said, 'I really need to talk to you,'" Peck shared of the call she had to make to Bachman. But before she could say anything, he already knew what her daughter's dilemma was.

Bachman told his daughter not to worry and that he would make things happen. Finally, on her wedding day, he drove his daughter to the outdoor ceremony on a golf court.

Just as they were about to walk, Bachman left the bride and walked towards her stepfather, who sat in the first few rows. He grabbed Cendrosky's hand and said, "'Hey, come with me. You've had just as big of a part in raising this child. It's time you and me walk our daughter down the aisle together."

Cendrosky was immediately brought to tears with such a gesture and called it the best moment of his life. Guests in the venue were also emotional as they witnessed both fathers walk the daughter they love down the aisle.

Wedding photographer Delia Blackburn captured the moment Bachman grabbed Cendrosky and shared it on her Facebook page, which has since been shared several times.
