One man had been dating an amazing woman for two years but never had the privilege of physically seeing her. However, when he finally did, was his reaction as predictable as you would think?

We have a list of clichés that ring true when it comes to romantic affection and sight: "Love is blind," and "Beauty is on the inside, not on the outside." However, what about "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder"?

Hunter Tribe finally got to behold his gorgeous girlfriend, Brittney Reed. Tribe, as the rest of the world already knew, found out that she was breathtaking. But, this besotted boyfriend wasn't the only one whose breath was about to be taken away.

A VISIONARY IDEA

Tribe has a degenerative eye condition called Stargardt's disease. This leads to near-total blindness where they can still see peripherally, but this sight is still hazy.

This clueless boyfriend had no idea that his partner had written into the "Rachael Ray" show, which habitually helps those struggling with eyesight issues.

She asked if they could help Tribe see with a pair of eSight glasses - an innovative technology to assist those struggling with blindness. They said yes and invited the couple on the show to broadcast the miraculous moment!

A SHOCK TO THE SYSTEM

On live television in 2016, these glasses were slowly put over Tribe's eyes, who was taken aback when he saw the large audience. However, when he looked around, Tribe also caught sight of his beautiful girlfriend. He was at a loss for words, finally expressing:

"She looks amazing. She's gorgeous."

Both of them continued to stare into each other's eyes with enamored looks on their faces while Reed teared up.

EVEN MORE TO COME!

As beautiful as this moment was, another massive gesture was on its way, but it was for Reed this time. Her now fully-sighted boyfriend got on one knee, looked her straight in the eye, and said:

"There's only one thing that could make this better - If Brittney becomes my wife."

She put her hands over her mouth, in total disbelief, kneeling to face him and give him a long kiss. Of course, Reed said yes.

FINALLY, FINDING YOUR LIGHTHOUSE

You would think it would be all over after these two bombshells, but that was not so. Tribe asked his bride-to-be if they could get married within that week and have it broadcast on the show.

She was entirely on board, and within seven days, Reed was walking down the aisle towards her groom. Even if Tribe couldn't see her, he felt his almost-wife shining through the darkness.

As another cheesy saying goes, first penned by 18th-century American poet Phoebe Cary "..true love is never blind, but rather brings an added light, an inner vision quick to find, the beauties hid from common sight."
