"The Wendy Williams Show" host has been taking time off the screens to focus on recovering from her years-long health battle.

Wendy Williams, 57, has been off TV on a well-deserved break. She is focused on recovering from her health issues, sprouting from Graves' Disease complications.

Williams has been suffering from an array of health problems over the years. In February 2018, the talk show host revealed that she had suffered from the immune system disorder for years.

The Sun reported that she had admitted that she checked herself into rehab in Florida before moving into a sober house. media

These struggles and more have been the cause of the host's strained relationship with her son. A source revealed that her son Kevin Hunter Jr., 21, has been giving his mother some tough love.

The two, who've previously shared a close bond, were recently spotted strolling the streets of New York with her son holding her hand. Kevin has, over the years, offered support to his mother through trying times, especially after her divorce.

Earlier in the month, Williams was pictured leaving a wellness center in Miami. She ignored any questions concerning her return to the show. However, since taking the break, a rotation of guests continued to run the show in her absence.
