Wendy Williams Seen Holding Hands with Son Kevin Hunter Jr. Who Allegedly Refused to Be In Her Life Unless She Got Help
"The Wendy Williams Show" host has been taking time off the screens to focus on recovering from her years-long health battle.
Wendy Williams, 57, has been off TV on a well-deserved break. She is focused on recovering from her health issues, sprouting from Graves' Disease complications.
Williams has been suffering from an array of health problems over the years. In February 2018, the talk show host revealed that she had suffered from the immune system disorder for years.

BATTLING NUMEROUS HEALTH ISSUES
But that was not all that was ailing her. A month after that, she showed her viewers a close-up of her swollen ankles and shared that she suffers from Lymphedema.
New reports have confirmed that the show will return in January, but without Williams.

She disclosed that she could barely walk two blocks due to the disease. In 2019, Williams had been open about her struggles with substance abuse and alcoholism, fell into an alcoholic stint fuelled by her divorce from ex-husband Kevin Hunter Sr.
The Sun reported that she had admitted that she checked herself into rehab in Florida before moving into a sober house. media
These struggles and more have been the cause of the host's strained relationship with her son. A source revealed that her son Kevin Hunter Jr., 21, has been giving his mother some tough love.

He reportedly gave his mother an ultimatum saying that if she did not "fix" herself, he would no longer be a part of her life.
"Wendy's relationship with Kevin Jr has been strained. He gave her an ultimatum. He told her he wouldn't be in her life unless she fixes herself," the source disclosed to The Sun.
The two, who've previously shared a close bond, were recently spotted strolling the streets of New York with her son holding her hand. Kevin has, over the years, offered support to his mother through trying times, especially after her divorce.
NOT RETURNING TO THE SHOW
Earlier in the month, Williams was pictured leaving a wellness center in Miami. She ignored any questions concerning her return to the show. However, since taking the break, a rotation of guests continued to run the show in her absence.
New reports have confirmed that the show will return in January, but without Williams. The show is in its 13th season and has already announced the January guest hosts. They include Remy Ma, Fat Joe, and Michael Rapaport, among many others.
